fractale 1

(1:18:23 AM) dominos: ok see now fractale
(1:18:28 AM) dominos: that is how animu should start
(1:18:54 AM) dominos: you are confused as fukk and want to watch more
(1:19:04 AM) dominos: not you are bored as fukk and hope the rest is better

for real though theres some nice light humor and an interesting setting so ill definitely keep watching.

not to mention i want to find out whats even going on

Kanako is perfect. Too perfect…

What can’t she do?

Well, besides losing to Ginga Bishounen, which everyone does anyway so it doesn’t count.

She can’t take Takuto away from Wako, since everybody and their mother knows that’s where this is heading.

So… Hourou Musuko.

Started out kinda weak, but definitely got better and when it ended I was hype for the next ep. I’m not sure skipping that far into the manga right away was a good idea though.

In the end it doesn’t matter cuz she kissed first.

I really dont like Madoka Magica. This show has no budget. Mami and soundtrack are cool but the monster fights are horrible to look at.

I was ok with Hourou Musuko till I thought about the prospect of having actual 14 year old kids with no prior VA experience voicing the two leads. After looking at the scene where Nitori has a conflict with his sister and hearing his badly delivered lines I cringed a bit.

Since when did SHAFT ever have a budget?

[details=Spoiler]do I sense a harem upcoming?

the fight scene I thought was actually pretty good, animated particularly well. He still lost, but all because he seemingly didn’t understand how his IS worked under various conditions. At the end she questions why the way she feels even though she still won, but I dunno I think she likes him to a fault.[/details]

The lacking of fanservice is really hurting this show though, with so many girls around I expect more tits and asses.

lack of fanservice never hurts

madoka magica…well i listed to a top player and gave it a 2nd chance. the sound and music are pretty cool, and tbh you gotta be fuckin high on something to make this show (that is a good thing) so ill keep watching for now. i hope it doesnt turn out to be 15 mins of opening + “teehee we r gurls lol” and 5 mins of cool shit.

Second episode of Madoka Magica was good, although it seemed to follow the first episode and be 80% school the first part and then 20% Alice in Wonderland crazy shit for the latter part. I hope the show doesn’t follow some kind of forumla like that. Overall the show is pretty cool, but if it keeps following that kind of formula, it’ll be a bit problematic.

Kenu just because the crazy witch world looks all weird doesn’t mean the show doesn’t have a budget. Ever since Bakemonogatari, Shaft actually has money (evident by OMFG TWO SHAFT SHOWS IN ONE SEASON LAST SEASON), but I wouldn’t be surprised if they still have deadline issues. The whole weird looking witch world is probably Shaft just being Shaft and has little to do with the budget.

On a related note, I love Mami’s Unlimited Rifle Works.

index 14 was awesome, BOOBS AND ASSSSSSS

madoka 2 was good, I’m really into this show already. The art direction is absolutely amazing, fuckin shinbo man, badass.

Mami’s magic outfit has to be like the only magical girl outfit ever that is cute and not SUGAROVERLOAD cute. And yes UNRIMITED GAN WAAKSU was badass lol

I was a bit surprised with the witch’s appearance in Madoka ep.2, but the battle was pretty cool. Music continues to impress, too.

Speaking of more Shaft: Katte ni Kaizo, Koji Kumeta’s (Zetsubou Sensei) older series, goes animated.

I suppose they’ll go for the earlier chapters as a flashback sequence for the rest of the episodes? Dunno, but I like what’s been shown so far.

But dude, we’re supposed to take it seriously. Clearly the authors intend to convey something deep and meaningful without the distraction of the only reason anyone would want to watch a show like this.

Meh, season 2 is boring. The only thing decent was when Tsuchi announced his magician name and fought Oriana, but that was really short. I was hyped to see Accelerator, but he didn’t get to fight, just straight up owned.

Yumekui Merry 2: I really like how they are quickly expanding further into the storyline and not dwindling down to dream fights every episode. Merry gets some good character development in this episode and she’s becoming more of a sympathetic character. Lots of set ups for things to come and good expansion of the dream world. This show is easily top 5 of this season for me.

IS 2: Meh…The fight was okay and the animation was on point but I’m not particularly impressed with the series so far.

Impressions of whatever else was released this season thus far.

Madoka Magika: The over generalization of the show is a Mahou Shojou series but much dark and lots of “wtf am I high!?” moments. It has potential but I’m on the fence on this one.

Mitsudomoe Z: Absolutely fucking hilarious. First episode was too good and the series will be the same old shit we got in Season 1 but it’ll still be hilarious with maybe a few episodes here and there being not funny at all.

Dragon Crisis: I thought I was going to dislike this show because it looked so overly generic. Granted, it’s still really generic but the first episode wasn’t terrible. The animation is very crisp and the colors are very vivid so I really enjoy the visuals of the show. The characters are generic and the story is basically a rehash and modification of boy/girl meets boy/girl with special powers now he/she has to take of him/her on top of trying to figure out wtf is going on.

Gosick: I think this is probably my favorite show of the season thus far. It’s just basically a mystery type show in the vein of Sherlock Holmes or to a lesser extent Detective Conan. I quite like those mystery type series (don’t really like Conan though) so I’m all up for this show. Also, loli goth girl smoking a pipe to think is too good. I almost want to make that my avatar.

Hourou Musuko: I think this is one of the more interesting shows this season for multiple reasons. The animation style or digital coloring is incredibly unique and very subtle. I enjoy the visuals to this show a lot. The story and characters aren’t bad at all and it’s a drama/slice of life type of show that is executed quite well. It has potential but we’ll see.

Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka: Another show I’m going to follow because the first episode was absolutely hilarious. I love the simple symbol of a person sitting in a chair rotting away in the sun. It’s so simple yet so hilarious used in the first episode and ending theme. There’s a bunch of things I could comment on about the show.

Level E: It’s one of the HunterxHunter mangaka’s older works that got animated. It’s one of the more original shows of the season and while it’s quite funny I don’t enjoy the main story that much. I’ll probably continue watching it until it completely bores me but it’s lacking something for me.

I’ll check out Fractale tomorrow and whatever new show that gets released.

Also, about that spoiler…

You mean when Tsuchimikado had that terrible wrestling match with Oriana? How did she wind up laying on the ground? The director really seems to be having some trouble with some action scenes. There’s also the part where Oriana was running to finish off Touma who was about to go unconscious but he recovered and punched an Oriana that for some reason had already thrown a punch. Did it happen before or after she was surprised by Touma’s recovery? It definitely wasn’t before because we saw her stop in place when she was surprised and wasn’t throwing a punch. So if it was after, why would she be throwing a punch? He’s clearly not as disadvantaged as she thought but she’s still going to throw a haymaker anyway? …wasn’t expecting to go on that rant there… anywhoozle.

Yes, so far it has been boring. The finale is where things get [very] good sadly. I’ve been waiting. Shit hits the fan. That is where you will get the Accelerator you wanted to see, and so much more. You’re going to be watching it, thinking it’s the same old. Then fucking BAM! Well, that’s how it’s going in my head anyway. The ball is in JC Staff’s court.

“These motherfuckers ripped my SUIT!” -Accelerator

EDIT: Maybe it should have aired out of chronological order like Haruhi S1.

Scott, it’s a magical girl show.

It’s going to be formulaic to the end.

He was going for a jump in, she fell on her back to dodge it. It wasn’t great but it’s better than anything else this season had to offer thus far. We actually got to see a magician fight, Tsuchi introduced himself like he was Gambit (“The name’s Gambit, remember it!” Gambit to Apocalypse after flying in and crashing a plane into him), and he mind-fucked her to survive in the end. Aside from that fight, yea, too many inconsistencies, it’s annoying. Since Toma is an esper scrub, he should just learn magic instead. Left hand for magic and right hand for absorption imo.

Everyone keeps telling me it’s about to get good, so I expect something even though I don’t want to expect anything, which is why I stopped reading all manga some time ago. I can’t enjoy anime if I have already read the manga, especially when I know the episode is going to be a disappointment.

It’s not just Accelerator, I would like to see any decent fights with abilities. Hopefully more Kanzaki. I wouldn’t mind Misaka as well as long as she shuts the fuck up, gets mad, and takes out her real power. The fights are too short and not planned out at all unfortunately so I don’t expect much.

Is there going to be a season 3?
