school days…well this is what my friend had to say about it. cant find the original irc log so paraphrasing:

tbh my own reaction was a lot closer to the clapping than shock.

hahaha i love school days cause it made no sense…out of nowhere the maincharacter turns into a manwhore and basically your average highschool asshole. i still to this day dont understand that progression…it literally happened over 1 episode and was never explained.

Saikano definitely takes the cake, and the cake is black, there are no candles, the filling is oil, and taking a bite leads to your entire natural supply of endorphins disappearing. Forever.
Can I get thoughts on Nadia, someone is selling the whole thing for $40, should I buy?

The ending of Texhnolyze is pretty spectacular. My first thought on the subject usually goes to Saikano but Texnolyze manages to take it even further down into horrible despair and apathy.

The most depressed I’ve ever been in my life was at the end of Clannad After Story. They tried to end on a positive note with that deus ex machina bullshit but it doesn’t make up for how suffocatingly miserable that guy’s life turned out.

First impressions of Puella Magi Madoka Magic are good. The series has a bit of a weird darkness to it, so that might seperate it from the usual mahou shoujo. Music is fucking awesome, as expected.

Merry Dream Eater was a bit… weird. I’m still interested in watching it, but there’s something about the show that doesn’t seem right. Maybe it’s the really generic music or the pacing is just weird. Part of me is interested in watching but part of me feels a bit odd about the show. It’s kind of funny how many navel shots are in the show though.

Will watch Gosick and Infinite Stratos soon.

The story was written by Urobuchi Gen, the main writer of Nitro+, writer of Fate/Zero, and the man that created the story of Saya no Uta.

[details=Spoiler]The latest Negima was a straight up smackdown on the poor ol’ class 3-A. Yue and Makie got owned in one panel. One panel off screen. Quintum didn’t even have to stop walking menacingly towards Natsumi to beat their asses.

I’ve already seen the spoilers for 314 though, and know that Negi makes a Big Damn Heroes entrance to stop the asskicking…along with a surprise “partner”.[/details]

I recommended Saikano to one of my friends who likes to watch sad things but he said it was plain boring and gay,lol. He loves elfen lied to death though

About fucking time the haruhi movie is out and in full HD, I might get a bottle of liquor just to celebrate this(yeah i’m that serious) I’ve been dying to watch it again

Pretty much agree with everything here. I just finished watching Madoka and my eyes and ears felt so good. I’m going to like this one a lot.

I might have already dropped Merry. I don’t know. Like you said, there’s just something odd about it. The pacing… there’s that one scene where the action seems to stop for no reason other than to close up on man-Biribiri saying “Merry…” as if he didn’t just meet her ten minutes ago. Fighting cats? I dunno. All I know is that she has one fine midriff(that’s the best compliment I have for the show at the moment).

[details=Spoiler]Damn. This is kind of hard to read. Poor Ku Fei. Her foot is probably completely fucked since it was sticking out of the ice cube and is now crushed. Not even Konoka’s artifact can heal crushing injuries. Though I’m guessing that her foot will end up okay by either Ken forgetting it’s sticking out or having a hole in the ground so it isn’t crushed. Can’t see Ku Fei being taken out that badly.

Natsumi’s face was drawn well in her last panel. I really got a strong sense of the terror and hopelessness in her.

It is. Next episode, Index and Touma go to Italy. This arc that just ended is one of the worst in the series. The part that people only wanted to see was the private jet scene and sports festival which they pretty much glossed over. I’m waiting for the arc after the next one. That’s when shit goes down.
