Any good Remote Desktop apps that you guys recommend?

I have an Evo 3D phone, and my laptop OS is Windows Vista.

I’ve been using PhoneMyPC. It has been good to me so far.

A few other remote access apps that I have experience with are:

VNC Viewer
Splashtop Remote Desktop

Yay! Marvel Comics app is now on android!

Anyone interested in the new Droid Razr?

…man, Galaxy Nexus will have zero carrier bloatware and looks to be pretty damn sick. That display!!! ooooh

Kinda dissapointed about the 5MP camera but honestly, I’ll take a faster speed/better lense for the 3MP tradeoff.

Waiting to see who gets it and when?

Kind of…if it came with ICS, which it will eventually get I would imagine. Size, screen and weight are really nice.

Somehow those fucks at Verizon got the Nexus Prime exclusive for some undisclosed time here in the U.S. I’m not going to wait to find out when and if AT&T are getting it. I was going to get Galaxy S2 with the 4.3" screen, but good thing I was waiting because AT&T just announced 2 new Android handeset coming out this Sunday.
HTC Vivid 4.5" $200
Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket 4.5" $250
Leaning towards the skyrocket, my upgrade has been due since June.

Both are real 4G LTE, not the fake HSPA+ that AT&T been calling 4G.
Drool!!!:smokin:

I dont know why, and I think ICS is buggy, but I want to get the Galaxy Nexus when it comes out.

…wow.

So is the SG2 “Skyrocket” the same as the SG2 HD we are supposed to get at some point? I mean, thats just stupid and such a dick move to launch the SG2 and what…a month later launch another ver with better specs and of course without letting on they had a better device in the pipe? ha

Still waiting for a solid Galaxy Nexus date from somebody, rumors are that Verizon will get it first but nothing is official yet. “Sometime in November” is getting old…

I’m Hype for the Droid RAZR…

All this time I thought the ‘ICS’ acronym meant tethering or some shit, not Android 4.

Yeah I just prefer calling it Android 2.3 / 3 / 4.0 Never really got the whole name things based on desserts thing Google had going on

There was a Verizon Roadmap, and it showed Black Friday for the Nexus Prime.
I’m going to get Skyrocket this Sunday more than likely, Bestbuy has some mobile deals going the next 2 weeks. I need to do more investigation on it though.

Merely posting out of Android deprivation. My Droid was bequeathed to my mom while I’m in China.

Really considering trying to save up money for a Droid 3 over here, though.

I bought the Skyrocket online on AT&T’s website, they were having $100 off for my zipcode so I jumped on it. I figure it won’t be much lower, plus it’s free 2 day shipping. I had to pay the tax plus $18 activation fee which is bullshit, push the damn button on my IMEI, I’ll drive over there and do it myself.
So in store and online certain zipcodes is $249, but when I put in my zipcode it was $149.
Same with HTC Vivid $199, but $99 when I enter my zipcode.
I think the OG Samsung GS2 has the better chipset, Exynos vs Snapdragon. The Samsung GS2 Skyrocket has the bigger screen though 4.5" vs 4.3", so I went with it. Skyrocket is 4G LTE too, no telling when they turn it on over here, but I’m ready. My upgrade been due since June and I got tired of waiting. Samsung Galaxy Nexus Prime would be my first choice, but who knows how long I’d have to wait for AT&T to get it.

If they announce it’s coming within 30 days, I’ll return the Skyrocket for no penalty.

edit
I really envy you Verizon guys, AT&T rested on the iphone forever, I almost switched from them, but then they got Galaxy S Captivate which they neutered by taking off the front camera and removing the FM radio.
Verzion got coming out this month
Rezound
RAZR
Nexus Prime
3 fucking Beast phones.
I might pick either of the 3 over the Skyrocket, leaning towards the style of the RAZR.

Damn, I want the Prime to come out on T-Mobile already! I don’t care that Samsung rarely updates their devices, I’ll root the bitch and keep it fresh until I get a new one. I’m set to sell my Mytouch 4g to offset the early upgrade cost.

I got my Skyrocket and the screen is like woah!:wow:
My Captivate was getting long in the tooth. It was still working good besides that CPU bug that powered it off all the time.
Too bad they didn’t up the resolution on this bitch. Only have been using it for a few hours, putting my apps back on it and stuff. I think I will keep it unless AT&T announces something much better in 30 days.:lovin:
AT&T announced expanding 4G to 15 markets, and I’m not in one of them.:annoy:

Looks like all new lines are $.01 for Android phones on Amazon.com
http://wireless.amazon.com/b/684177011/ref=topnv_tn_bc_al
Even the new RAZR.
I just paid $150 for my phone last week and though that was a good deal since it was $250.

I just got a new phone, HTC Evo 4g touch. to now void any of the warranties or anything with sprint, what can I do to this phone to make it better than stock? like useful stuff and it won’t void anything?

Not really, if you want to get in and really boost what the phone can do you’ll need to run a custom rom of some kind. These generally get rid of bloatware, tweak the system to make better use of memory, etc. Without that though, there are apps that can improve the user experience. Replacement launchers like ADW let you customize your home screen in ways you can’t with the stock launcher.

Though, in short, you’re going to want SU (Superuser) access to your phone, throw a custom recovery, and root (jailbreak) it. Makes every Android out a million times better.
