Retroarch is out. There is the link. Here is a link of me playing 3S on my hp touchpad with it:

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is rumored to be making its debut at MWC next month:

I wish Samsung would bring back the Super AMOLED+ screens to their tablets. The GN2 has me spoiled!

Don’t know if this problem has been beaten into the ground here, but here goes:

My new Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2, out of the blue, has started to say “sorry, this player cannot play this type of audio file” when I’m playing a big file (i.e. podcast/audiobook/comedy special) and do a bunch of touch seeking. It seems the way to “cure” this is to back out, wait a minute, and try the file again. That works sometimes. However, this issue is brand new. The player was having no problems like this before with podcasts and the like. I know this issue isn’t about the format. I’ve installed media apps, such as Winamp and MX Player Pro, in case that helps at all.
My music/video collection is on a Micro SD card I insert into the player. A couple times, when I turned the player off and then on again, it said the SD card I was using was damaged. I could just reformat the card and replace all the music/video I had on it. It’s just going to take time. However, I wanted to see if this might be something other than that. I don’t want to do all that then have this error pop up again. Have any of you guys had this problem too?

I rarely post stuff like this, but game like this are a gem.Basic you try your luck for rolling, and it doesn’t even play like a rpg.

Darn, retroarch doesn’t work for GB. I’d upgrade to ICS roms but they are unstable as hell for me.

All I can suggest at the moment is try clearing cache and data for the app you’re using. It would be best to format the card though, the player seems to be flat out telling you it’s messed up.

Already formatted, but thanks. I was just hoping there was another way, as the format and replacement of data took several hours yesterday. If this happens again, I’m going to have to suck it up and buy a new card I guess.

So I’m unable to update to the latest JellyBean version on my Nexus 7. Everytime I try, the loading bar fills about 25% way, then I get the Red Exclamation Point over the dead Android mascot. I’ve tried factory resetting it, then updating, still nothing. Suggestions?

So I want to buy one of those quick recharging battery pack things, or whatever the official name for them is. Are there certain ones that are the best ones or do they all serve the same purpose just as well?

Preferably one around the $30-50 range.

Sent from my LG-P999 with Hellfire Phoenix.

God, took forever to find this thread. But yeah, here we go, I’m now jealous of my mom.

Thing is, she inherited my Droid 2 when I left the States, on my account. Picked up the extended warranty when I normally wouldn’t.

Well, she’s broke, and so is the phone. Charging port not working, camera won’t work, etc. etc. Checked out possible upgrades given her, and my, budget, and nope. So I decide to try for the warranty.

Spent 30 seconds with Tech Support describing all the issues with the phone, they immediately escalate to warranties, and they immediately tell me it’s time to replace the phone.

The following conversation ensues:

Agent: Well, we don’t have any more Droid 2s to send, so we’ll have to send you something new. The computer is wanting to set you up with a Samsung 515 phone, let me see what model that is…
Me: Rolling my eyes, thinking it’s going to be some throwaway phone Ok.
Agent: 30 seconds later Oh my God…
Me: What?
Agent: It’s the Galaxy Nexus. Does that sound ok with you?
Me: Choking on my tongue Do I really need to verbally answer that question?

So basically my mom got hooked up with a phone I’ve salivated over, for free since I decided this was the one piece of equipment that I was going to pay $2 a month for an extended warranty for. And again, Verizon makes me a satisfied customer.

Thought I’d post here about Marvel War of Heroes. It’s a fun little card game. I made an Alliance for SRK so be sure to check out the thread if you get hooked:

I switched to android recently and been real fuccing happy with all this

free phone call with talkatone, music with folder browser support, gaming with xperia play, any format video(fuck converting), etc etc

Welcome! Which phone do you have?

sony xperia play. dat playstation lifestyle!

what version of finalburn is on that retroarch thing? I gotta check it out later on…
Those were my issues with the PSP (converting video) and why I didn’t want a Vita (no folder-level access for media and proprietary memory).

If there was a genuinely good Android equivalent to the iPod touch, I would’ve bought that instead alongside a cheaper feature phone.

But with that being said, I do enjoy my Android phone. A little costly sure, but certainly a better deal than a Vita (the 3DS is in a different category).

Galaxy s4 already? Just when i think i got the new shit they always come out with something new a month or two later and my shit becomes outdated. Im bout to just cop that 5S when it comes out and stick with that for about a year.

By the time it’s out the s3 will be pushing a year. Been waiting for the a15 chips for awhile but will wait for the note3.

talkatone is so gadlike with bluetooth headset assist. its just like a regular phone line. usually very clear and 100% free call/text over wifi. only complain is that I dont get a notification for text and have to manually check. not a big deal but would have been nice. it used to work fine. maybe my “trial premium” ran out or something.

also anyone know any app that automatically changes wallpaper every few days? u know like how I have it on my computer.

ANOTHER question for those with tablet+usb port. any keyboard works? meaning if I get one of those pcb/encoder I could be running mame/emulators and use arcade stick too? thinking about making a small bartop rig with a tablet pc. with hdmi of course so I can actually use the tablet for other things too.

wasn’t even costly tho. I got the xperia play for $180 shipped. unlocked and brand new sealed in box. couldn’t be happier. the thickness(its about same as lumia 900) is a minor inconvenience at best. its little heavy but I forget about that when I get to play arcade, snes, playstation games on the go WITH a real gamepad.
