That’s one of Sprint’s major problems. Working inside of buildings.
So i got the HTC EVO 3d and trying to figure out how do people change the OS on the Phone (jellybean) im new to android phones btw
AND WOW why are people Going nuts for the “new” Iphone? theyre getting hype for shit that android phones have been doing for 2 years now
bout to cop that quad core S3…so i hype!
That’s too much common sense, you’ll get in trouble on SRK for that.
Seriously, I agree though, get the phone you want, I am not standing in the way of anyone buying an iPhone 5.
But I do think Apple’s way behind in the game now. iPad has been the standard for a while, but you have the new Galaxy Tab coming out and Microsoft’s new tablet coming up, so they may even be behind there too. 5s or 6 has to really step it up from there.
But it’s true, people will still buy the iPhone for several reasons:
- They like iOS, and don’t care that it’s behind Android at this point, and want the bigger screen
- They are so locked into Apple through iTunes that switching phones now would cost them more in the long run.
- They want that status symbol phone.
- They want something that’s generally stable, doesn’t cause too much grief, and doesn’t need to be rooted and flashed to get what they need out of it.
But if the price point is as great as the GS3 (It probably will be) there will be some darting eyes across the aisle. Guaranteed. At least by savvy consumers.
Depends on what you’re looking for with it. Jury is out on the wifi, need to see some real world tests, and the processor is just a bit better, but no gps and no nfc gives the N7 the edge for me. An otg dongle costs $4, you can increase the storage by another 32gb if you need to, and there’s so many different cloud storage options storage isn’t really an issue. I love using copilot to turn my N7 into a 7" gps in the car. Tether it to my phone and I’m streaming Pandora through it too.
And as someone with the og Fire, I’ve tried many roms for it, nothing is really quite there yet. Too many bugs to deal with. It’s great having JB running stock.
You know you have to import for that right? All of the domestic S3’s are dual core… (How much this really even matters I’m not sure)
Thurst is in Korea.
i just got a text about the promo from KT about it…also i’m in korea.
Got the Galaxy S III Friday, hit T-Mo as soon as they opened to get that $150 rebate. Free phone works for me. Was thinking about a Note II, but played with it at AT&T, that thing is just too big. I have a Nexus 7 if I need something larger, that sucker’s always with me.
So, anyone with an S III running custom roms? I just installed Wicked v5 with the Trinity kernel.
Oh, and if you have the S III, look for Avengers in their store tomorrow, we’re getting it free.
Motorola had us waiting until Q3 for ICS update, then they bitched out days ago. I guess they’re just going straight to Jelly Bean since they say most of their 2011 phones will get the upgrade. So of course that will be another long wait.
I said fuck it and installed the ICS leak that was out there. Its amazing… and the fact they’ve been keeping this from us for so long is depressing. I literally got rid of a few apps because ICS has the features built-in.
My homie says JB is way better than ICS too. Guess we’ll see.
So I finally decided that i’m going to the Galaxy SIII instead of the iPhone 5. I finally got to use an iPhone 5 and needless to say, I was not impressed. The camera was nice and all but its the same shit. I needed something new to play with.
Your friend speaks truth, “Project Butter” has JB running soooo smooth.
You have chosen wisely.
picked up a Nexus 7 just cause I can
Same here. I also got a Nexus 7. There’s a 25 dollar credit (for Google Play) that even came with mine. Anyone got any suggestions for what games/apps/movies/etc. to get for this thing? I got 'til Sept. 30 to use it all, it seems. :razzy: (You guys might wanna check if you’re eligible for the 25 dollar Google Play credit if you’ve bought a Nexus 7 lately-- more info here: <http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2670129>)
Hmm…does anybody know if that $25 credit will work in the nVidia TegraZone (app/marketplace) as well?
Also, if anyone has any experience using Wiimote Controller < https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ccpcreations.android.WiiUseAndroid > and programming Android apps to utilize it, please LMK. <— I think this lets you use the Nintendo Wii Remote without having to root your Android device.
Why use a Wiimote when you can use a PS3 controller?
I ordered a adapter for ps3 controller. Cost like 3 bucks. I got that $25 Credit also but used most for sonic 4 episode 2 and rented a hd movie. Got like $11 left.

What adapter? You know you can use it as a bluetooth device right?
Otg adapter. Supposedly you need it unless you root or something.
