Putting hotwhhel wheels in a matchbox toy isn’t science or building anything. There was nothing science about this, and what he did ranks as ez bake nonsense.
All he did was take parts out of a clock and put it in a suitcase, that’s not science.
It’s not anything special and all forms of media were riding his dick and he doesn’t know shit about technology
He’s a liar and his family are milking the shit out of him lying.
Fine for the apology but anyone with a brain will say that demanding $15 million from a school in Texas in ridiculous.
They have asked for too much free shit, Clock Boy played the media and everyone for a good week until he said that soldering CPU bullshit. You don’t just go to a school and bring this, it’s standard for a school to be suspicious, it’s not even Islamophobia. The schools I went to would be suspicious if anybody brought something like that to school.
And he even ADMITTED that it was suspicious and he brought it anyway WTF.
I wonder if those who are perfectly ok with that object^ not being at least slightly “suspicious” would also be perfectly fine with your average white loner kid who got picked on for a long time suddenly showing up at school one day with a suspiciously bulky trenchcoat…go ahead and say hi to that character next time you see him…I’m sure it’s totally fine and only terrible bigots would have certain assumptions there, right?
That school he went to has a no tolerance policy on suspicious items like that and the student will be sent to the principal office.
Ahmed supposedly went classroom to classroom showing off his “clock” and in one of the classrooms he made the “clock” make a really loud sound and teacher grabbed it and sent him to the principal. And in keep in mind, his sister has been suspended before for bomb threats and Ahmed himself was suspended many times for being a prankster. The fact that people are still supporting this guy shows how manipulative the media is.
On that note, you said the sister was suspeended “for making bomb threats” but that doesn’t really make sense. If your theory is that the clock was some sort of secret ploy to (insert made up reason), the last thing you would actually have the sister do would be to make a bomb threat. Conversely you would be implying that she was making actual bomb threats, which would imply that you think that the clock kid was actually in danger of making a bomb and bringing it to school, which is not supported by any evidence.
This is all just victim-blaming DARVO nonsense, where people feel the need to justify their fears of this kid and his family. Even if they didn’t do anything dangerous…well, that was part of his plan all along!
Edit, by the by, this took place in Irving, Texas. No offense to the fine people of Irving, but this is the same place where:

Not a bad video.
America has enough geniuses to enable wannabe celebrities like this kid’s family.

Wait, previously he was a trouble maker at school and was suspended several times before this clock mess? I say expel that retarded clown and his entire folks deported back.
Do you know how much C4 it takes to kill someone, or how it can be shaped or hidden? Guess what either do I but I would’nt risk my childs life on it. Not now not ever don’t care if the kid was blue from the neutral asteroid of pluto. Let me guess you have no children as you probably are a child but bear that responsibility and you might be a little more cautious cause, Fact incoming: it looked like a bomb. Period.
Now you can justify it with the kid is a science geek who created a suitcase that has wires and a non functioning clock inside, but is that really a project? I mean really for someone of talent I mean any real technical talent? Oh wait I read his blog he also created a bicycle and a ipod charger he’s DR Doom level inventor. Here’s what real wiz kids do http://mashable.com/2013/09/12/robot-developer/#ndL9KBccmaq5, but nobody cares about this kid cause he’s not pulling the race card while fooling half of Americans into guilt.
I actually have two young kids. I’m not a fan of racial profiling or knee-jerk reactions. If the guy was even joking it was a bomb, fair enough, if there was any kind of deceit involved, any kind of conscious attempt to play on people’s fears then yes, I would have called him a little dickhead. It was instead a misunderstanding where the school jumped to the absolute worst case scenario because he was Muslim. He got questioned by police without his parents, he’s fourteen years old. Fourteen. It’s symptomatic of a broader issue with Islamophobia.
I wasn’t bothered by the support the kid received initially, I do think that suing for fifteen million dollars is ridiculous. I never claimed he was a genius, I don’t know why anyone would, it’s irrelevant. It doesn’t matter that what the kid made wasn’t anything that remarkable, the fact he’s taking an interest in building things and technology should be encouraged. It also provides context for why he brought it to school. He didn’t do it to scare people, he did it because he likes that kind of stuff and wanted to show his science teacher a hobby to get in his good books. He was new to the school. That’s the kind of stuff nerdy kids do and I still believe if a white kid brought something like that to school it wouldn’t have been newsworthy at all.
It’s a dumb fucking “invention” anyway. Who the hell wants to carry around a clunky-ass suitcase just to tell what time it is when most people have a cell phone in their pocket that does just fine? Or better yet, a tiny watch on their god damned wrist? If anything, that kid should be deported for being a dumbass.
“Hey, anybody know what time it is?”
“Yeah, hold on. Let me pull out this suitcase and I’ll tell you.”
Fucking stupid.
But what do you expect if his moronic parents actually think they can sue people for freaking out because their retarded kid brought a piece-of-shit “clock-in-a-suitcase that looks like a bomb” to school for science class. Fourteen years old?? It might be impressive for an eight-year-old to put something together like that, but fourteen? What, is he in the LD classes? The apple obviously doesn’t fall too far from the tree. What a bunch of fucking idiots.
^Agreed, claiming it an invention is asinine. In muslim countries, the illiteracy rate is high among the entire nation of muslims.
That’s estimated 50% ignorant muslims worldwide. I find them generally delusional knuckleheads. They have very few nobel prizes and yet they claim every prophet in biblical times all followed islam and were muslims.
I tried hard to tolerate islam. It’s very problematic against humanity. Sweden and Burma are high examples. I absolutely despise this hideous cult.
To those muslims in the FGC, do yourselves a valuable favor and discard the qurans and place them at your local library in the fiction aisle.
Well, I was speaking to the invention itself, and that specific dumb fourteen-year-old and his family. Not the entire Muslim religion. What the fuck, man?
The parents set the kid up from the get-go. It is a religious issue.
Here’s why: say you own a home, then an adherent came to take over your property by force and says to you it is no longer your home because their book told them to. What’s the underlying cause to this problem?
A totalitarian regime. It’s impossible to co-exist with islam and history proves it. Multiculturalism will never work in a place like America or Europe as the liberals allowed this mess.
Europe open its doors to tons of asylum seekers and refugees; they receive free government handouts, shelter, assistance, the nine yards, yet many of them respond with violence against its citizens.
They want to overthrow the countries governments to impose their sharia law and tell you what to obey while it is NOT their land in the first place. They don’t want help. The citizens in their own native countries are facing persecution, discrimination, and deaths.
If someone lives in a muslim country and you’re not muslim, you would live second class automatically, won’t be allowed to vote, and don’t have full rights as the rest of the muslims. Insane.
It’s despicable if you ask me. Everyday there is reported cases of murder led by muslim extremists all committed in their name of “religion”.
I find justification to blame that cult.
