The issue isn’t whether or not a wall would be a deterrent because obviously it would but is the cost of the wall as opposed to other methods of deterring illegal immigrants worth it? It’s a 12 billion dollar project and congress has only approved 1.2 billion so where is the money going to come from(Don’t say Mexico is going to pay for it, because they’re not). Also a project of that size takes time probably a lot more time than 8 years probably, so what happens when Trump is out of office and the wall isn’t the number 1 priority of the new president. The wall could end up being more of a drain on the U.S. than necessary all because there was a disproportionate response to a problem.
This isn’t the first time the USA has wasted large sums of money on worthless symbolic gestures and it won’t be the last.
You know, I think of things like project time and always think “maybe we should get the Japanese to do it”

You KNOW us Americans would’ve taken months to fix that shit. :bluu:
Yea, tell us about it. Take a look at the debt after the Obama administration!

That’s because your lower echelon workers are pod by the hour. Milk your wage, in repair and construction as soon as a project begins you are essentially working yourself out of a job.

The answer to overspending is spending even more on frivolous matters
So obama drove out the most illegals and money is spent on federal programs
Now we will have misuse of federal funds on a project that will most likely take 15 years
I do not think it’s even smart to use executive order for some dumb symbolic gesture that only idiots and dickriders will praise

Obama had the 2nd highest debt increase after…FDR (perhaps the best president America had). Just saying
https://www.quora.com/Who-created-more-debt-–-Bush-or-Obama Read Arjun’s comment on there. It all comes back to the dumb, greedy bastard Dubya and his “friends” for starting the financially-suicidal War on Terror and those tax cuts on the rich they instituted.
Come now, you can’t possibly be comparing Obama’s wheel-spinning 8 years to FDR’s radical change to America. :bluu:
Im saying you cant use increase in national debt as a judgement for a good president
Obama did help bring the country out of a financial hell hole

One way to not be in debt is to increase taxes.
Make it 100% and you’ll never be in debt, solid logic
Yea but who do they tax? The poor who can’t afford to buy off the gov nor pay its debt, or the rich who can?
“It is not propaganda’s task to be intelligent, its task is to lead to success.” — Joeseph Goebbels
Taxing them worked splendidly under Eisenhower.

Unions, thata why
We went over this. The tax rate was 90, but tge effective tax rate after taxes was what it was today or less.
Or decrease spending while maximizing return on current investments. 1 trillion plus on higher education and what do we have to show for it. A bunch of meme degrees with dudes being stuck at starbucks.
