ICE, Border Patrol, ins, customs, all those divisions severely understaffed

That is how we can close in on more of the illegals

The wall is a symbolic thing sure, but why not wall up canada where more illegals are funnelling through not to mention all those tunnels, then the falsified visas

Those hopping the border now are getting through the “legal” means

A wall does nothing to keep people out, or kick out those already here
All the wall stands for is a gross misuse of funds and it is horribly planned

I just think it is a big waste of money

The wall is at best a half measure. Drone tech would do better, as well as implementation of ground sensors.

The wall at best will be effective in areas near cities, or where its flat and barren. However its serves as a gesture at best, and provide some jobs.

Realistically, I always viewed the border problem as dealing with ants in your house. You kill a few but they keep coming. You can kill the trail and plug up where they come from…but they always find another way. Hell kill the colony but another can appear later. Kill the souce of why they want to come in. Give them a reason to stay where they are.

I agree the Wall is a minimal way to slow down the issue but doesn’t solve it. Like ants you need to consistently and actively handle the issue while finding a way to keep them where they are. If they add to the wall other things to keep the border secure then great but otherwise it’s not enough on it’s own.

The gesture however shows he’s trying to solve the problem at least.
