The solution to give the most people what they want is simply saying, “you may personally follow the rules of Islam only when they do not conflict with our laws. If you have a problem with that, fuck off.” Short, simple, and to the point. Only losers are the radicals who don’t get their own court system and the bigots who want Islam removed from existence. No one is forced to do anything contrary to their values, it’s just telling one group of people “I see you want to do this, but we have to hold everyone to the same rules”. If you do something illegal “for Islam”, you’re a criminal to the West, no exceptions.
Hell, if I must be honest, I don’t even mind “Islamic civil courts” to handle disputes between Muslims, so long as the result is nonviolent and no one outside of the Muslim faith is forced to play along. Punishments can go up to excommunication from the Muslim community, which would require a central body to engage in this kind of policing.
Because there are only 3 ways Islam as an ideology can be dealt with
- Islam goes through a radical change until its followers can actually assimilate with the rest of the world without wanting to behead them in their sleep
- Every Islamic follower gets converted into whatever religion is a primary one in the region other than Middle East
- Complete wipe out of Islamic followers, whether through force or other methods
Problem is 2 of these seem highly unlikely becuase of just how fucked up the Middle Eastern states are, and 3 would literally be Holocaust 2.0
So you’re left with a pretty much permanent problem, unless somebody is willing to drop a dozen nukes there and get rid of the issue forever, creating a bunch of Hiroshima scenarios, except on a much larger scale
