Keep wasting that money, Bill

Wasting as in… ?

As in delaying the inevitable

I see nothing wrong in investing in efforts of filtering out pollution and finding cost-effective alternative sources of energy.

Then I’m sure you won’t have a problem clicking this one. Doesn’t change anything, a fact is a fact on who he is picking in his board of directors.

So is eating, looking both ways when you cross the road and going to a doctor when you’re sick or injured, what’s wrong with doing it as a species?

Climate change will never be curtailed by innovation. It will be curtailed by disruption and sheer desperation.

its wrong when

1st world countries adopt said technology and then freely allow the exportation of jobs to poor countries
Situations like you have in Germany, where the government subsidisies energy production becasue they not only pay other countries to buy their excessive energy thats generated at the wrong time thanks to solar and wind, but have to buy energy from other european states with no energy restrictions.
1st world contries try and force 3rd world countries to adopt and are willing to subsidize the full costs of doing so.

This graphic doesn’t take into account inflation. $40k of 1963 money is equal to about $316k of today’s money. So it’s actually gone down if you think about it.

If you look at the footnote, it is all in 2013 dollars. Which makes sense, because otherwise the median 1963 household was ridiculously wealthy.

Not to mention that, even if it weren’t, the gap is the bigger issue regardless. I mean, fuck, look at that gap between 50th and 90th alone. :wasted:

Ah, I didn’t see that, good looking out. Even so, the cost of living is higher now than it was then, so there’s also that. $40k of whatever money will buy more in 1963 than $80k will now.

I love this response to Whedon

To the people who said uhh noo on my post and disagreed,… why dont you look into stuff like Micheal Hastings from 3 years ago?
People get KILLED for investigating the truth… Keep believing the government is all sunshine and rainbows. CIA kills people, overthrows governments and the politicians go along with it. Atleast some of the most powerful ones do like the Clintons

I thought this read “a gif that discusses politics” and was like “yes, exactly this” but then reread it and was sad. I believe women have the right to vote in this country. Maybe it sucks where you live? Sorry to hear it.

What? I do not want to discuss politics at home. I just nod and agree. You say one thing and it blows up.

This is relationships

I ain’t no fancy pants educated political expert or nothin’, but this CIA discovering Russian interference in the election is serious stuff isn’t it? Or is this just going to be swept under the rug like the disastrous war on drugs?

I’m still waiting to see what evidence they have of interference. IP addresses? That can’t or weren’t covered by a VPN? Of course dems could have put a mole in Russia to fake the hack as well. Or used a VPN to make it look like Russia hacked voting machines or whatever.

But so far all I see is CIA or some democrat citing “overwhelming evidence” with nothing to show for it.

Hope you’re good at hacking government emails. I would say that we should take the CIA’s word but we all know that’s not happening.

This all seems like some pretense to make moves on Russia and we all know that’s not going to go well. There’s probably some corporate related reason why we’re against them. One good thing about Trump getting elected is that he’ll likely smooth over that relationship.

Still, the US doesn’t get to be butthurt about some other country fucking with our elections (if that’s indeed what happened) when we’ve been doing the exact same shit for decades. Crocodile tears.
