black listed government spending// trillions
bloated contracts in healthcare and military // trillions
unwarranted federal pensions // billions
subsidies that benefit profits soley not people and american RnD // billions
stop subsidizing stupid education like allowing people to take out more than 15k in loans to get a degreet hat doesn’t have any economical value // billions
but of course that’s not none of anybodies buisness and there is no way you can cut or streamline processes to maximize every dollar spent.
edit:
dude also said he doens’t want to get rid of all regulation. That’s ron paul and his son.
I don’t take what he says at face value, almost all of it is pandering and impossible.
But the issue is that the media has gone way out of its way to put what he said out of context. They do it all the damn time, but they’ve taken extra effort to do it to trump. Seeing the recent interview with CNN, and then the highlights makes that much obvious. It has been obvious when they kept airing his original comments about the type of people immigrating here illegally.
I’d like the media to act like professionals and report, not twist to push an agenda. But that would be like expecting a politician to tell the truth about anything.
When US government said it had no plan/way to currently deal with influx of undocumented immigrants and Trump responding by saying to come up with a plan and to limit it until then the media aka Hillary changed it to Trump hates all immigrants.
When asked what to do about the wave of incoming illegal immigrants and Trump said to stop it and send them back and let them come in legally the media changed it to Trump wants to deport all immigrants.
By reading the posts in this thread, either many people in this thread are already programmed by the misinformation from the media or don’t know the difference between the words legal and illegal.
I actually watch some of the speeches and right after that I turn to channels like CNN and MSNBC and see how they say things completely opposite of what was actually said minutes ago or in a way to intentionally guide the viewer to vote for Hillary and rally support against Trump.
The fact that people are so programmed by the media just shows how most Americans are just a bunch of sheep with diminishing freedoms.
smdh Bernie’s platform has been on a nosedive for a few weeks now. Props to him for trying to hold out against Clinton, but he’s bringing boxing gloves to a shootout.
I maintain that Johnson CAN win this election if the Libertarians can secure the appropriate funds and audience. Any other politician dreams of having two opponents with over 50% unfavorable ratings. If neither major party candidate can bridge the gap with independents, who number over 40% of the US voting base, Johnson could seriously win on being a clear-cut third option.
He needs to move fast to snag Bernie supporters, disenfranchised Republicans, and anti-establishment independents. With those, his poll numbers will rise enough to allow him a seat on the debate stage, giving him the needed publicity to be a choice who isn’t just “the lesser evil”.
75-85% of democrats are enthusiastically backing Clinton.
40%-60% of Republicans are enthusiastically backing Trump.
There just isn’t a big enough window to snag that many electoral votes. Remember, he has to outright WIN a state in order to get its electoral votes.
Between the West Coast, Illinois, and Northeast, Hillary basically starts with 182 electoral votes. More if you toss in PA, MI, MN.
His best chance is to prevent either Hillary or Trump from getting to 270 electoral votes, thus throwing the election to the House of Representatives and somehow convincing enough house delegations to vote for him.
This is why 3rd party presidential runs are so dangerous though, because the electoral college REQUIRES a majority.
We could have a situation where:
Hillary: 260
Johnson: 150
Trump: 128
And since Republicans control 33 state delegations to Democrats 15 (3 are tied), you could very well have the 3rd place vote getter win the presidency.
I just wish 3rd parties stopped with the stupid Don Quixote presidential campaigns and start running for offices at a local level and actually, you know, build a fucking party.
