I’m voting Libertarian if Bernie doesn’t get the nomination. Even if he wins, I might vote Libertarian anyway depending on how things go before the general election.
Would Libertarianism be the best approach to governing a country as large and diverse as the USA? Let the states govern themselves, and only involve the federal government on abuses of power, civil rights, or civil liberties.
States CANNOT be trusted to rule themselves. Southern states are making that argument right now. Seriously, just look at what nonsense they’ve been putting on the agenda since SCOTUS weakened the Civil Rights Act and the federal government’s role in making sure these states don’t go back to their racist as fuck roots.
Seriously, the South is just the shining example in why letting states rule themselves is a terrible idea. Since the 19th Century we’ve had examples as to why it’s a terrible–TERRIBLE–idea.
Shit, even if you gave more liberal states like New York and California dominion to set rules for themselves, one would be 100% run by developers and cronyism in the state capital while the other would be nothing but NIMBY assholes breaking up their state into 7 other states taking away money from minority-populated cities and having technocrats rule it all, respectively.

Supposedly some BLM supporters showed up to one of his events, and were throwing rocks at people and yelling. Some lady got injured, blah blah. Jeb took it in his own hands to run one of them down.
