just got back from this 15 minutes ago, it was great in comparison to the other spidey movies, and good in comparison to avengers, since thats the latest comic high everyone is coming off of from the theaters.

if you were tripping off the like 4 minutes out of an 2 hour movie that spidey was skating, you need to get out the house, meet people, drink, have fun, and have some sex. that sounds so cliche to say, but i cant imagine any other reason anyone would be annoyed by that scene other then the fact that youre a self absorbed/self conscious, fat keyboard chucking loser who seriously needs to put down the comics, get off of forums/irc, and get a fucking life. well you could also be a new skater yourself who has been taught nothing good from anyone other then the internet, so its cool for you to hate on a spiderman skateboarding scene in a movie. wow, 2012, it only gets worse i guess. lol

i actually like that he didnt find his dads killer. i was waiting for it, and waiting for it, and DIDNT get it. i almost wanted to clap. thats fucking nyc bitch. you might be spiderman and a genius, but you have bigger problems, and the universe isnt gonna just hand you your uncles killer like your mom hands you cupcakes after dinner.not to mention there is more you can do with spideys uncles killer then just handing it to him in the first movie.

i read one reviewer that said, you cant help thinking why does this movie even exist. i get it though. i can see that there is some angst towards, well why am i getting another fucking spidey origin movie again, why cant i just get a movie with spidey already have been spiderman for a while and whats going on from there. i would say mostly because
a) spiderman 3 is a joke and no one sane likes that movie. i mean even outside of comic fans it was just pretty shitty.
b) spiderman 2 is good, but if youre not a nerd, you probably can BARELY remember anything about that movie
c) spiderman 1 came out when, like 01-02. lol
d) since spiderman 1 dropped, 12 year olds became 21-22 year olds who have long forgotten they even saw spiderman1, 2 and 3, or just didnt care to see them. so its a nice reboot to the series for those who were still worried about training bras when spiderman 1 first came out vs some of us who were graduated high school already by then.
im not going to go on with more points via the alphabet, but i mean, nerds, slow your roll. if you cant see why a reboot was necessary, and this wasnt regardless of the reboot, a pretty good movie to see, then your not just a fan, youre a crazy fan. . the only unfortunate part for me is that i have to wait more then a year to get a part 2. if i was them i would have spidey 1 now, then part 2 next year just because we’ve already had 3 shitty movies before this, so fuck it, give the actors some work and pump out some more good shit.
the only unfortunate part about, the amazing spiderman, was how long it took for us to get a good spiderman movie, and how long we will have to wait for part 2. i mean really, there is nothing that should have made our first spiderman movie as good as this latest one besides shitty people making shitty decisions on casting and story lines.
not to be a dick, but to be a dick. if you didnt like, the amazing spiderman, you take yourself and or comics way to seriously and need to probably fall back and get a new less cynically charged hobby. i will gladly rewatch the amazing spiderman until part 2, unlike the originals where im like, ugh, lemme fast forward a bit.
in comparison to avengers, 7/10
in comparison to spiderman 1-3, 10/10
but i mean cmon, its avengers. lol
RANT OVER
sometimes its not time for a reboot, but in this case at least it did it right. this isnt dante to donte. this was dante to donte (first 3 spidey movies) back to dante.
