The 7th Inning Stretch a.k.a. MLB 2k7 Season thread (Fantasy baseball included)

How so?

Well yeah, but I’m just not feeling it this year now. Like, you know how shitty the Indians would have felt to know that they lost 1-0? The Yankees haven’t had that kind of win since 1998. But yes, they do have a better chance to even it up at Yankee Stadium without shenanigans. Just take a look at Joba’s 7th inning work. Their best hitters couldn’t even make contact at what he was throwing.

Oh, and lol @ Kenny Lofton getting picked off by Pettite. It was BOUND to happen. Again.

I am Mr.Noodle:wonder:. Close match. Could’ve gone either way.

LOL@ ARod. Man, everytime he steps to the plate I hope for a strike out. I’m pullin for Boston now. gotta keep it AL Since my O’s sucked ass this year…wait, isn’t that every year?

Poor O’s. I’m not even sure bringing THIS GUY back would help them…

In virtually every way possible. Here’s a start:

I assume you talking about playoff production. So:

  • A-Rod has had two bad series. Soriano has had 0 good series in the playoffs.
  • A-Rod is the best player in baseball. Soriano is his teams’ 3rd best hitter.
  • Soriano has been in the playoffs in the NL all of one time. He’s played his entire career in the AL up until last season.
–A-Rod’s .250 OBP has him already significantly better than Soriano this postseason.

Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs for not winning a championship in 100 years.

Maybe next year is the year

That’s only part of what I was talking about. I was talking about specifically this postseason, coupled with the fact that he got that massive-ass contract from the Cubs, and in this year’s playoffs didn’t do shit, just like A-Rod’s done for the last few years and so far again this year. I wasn’t including anything outside this postseason.

I should’ve made that more clear.

Still waiting for you to make sense.

Huh? When I made that comment, I was referring to Soriano’s huge contract + failure to produce in playoffs this year. It wasn’t even a serious comment. I called him the NL’s A-Rod for huge contract + October bust. I didn’t mean for it to be taken that seriously.

Torre to lose job if Yankees don’t advance

How many times have we heard this now? I’m by no means a Yankees fan, but it’s always rubbed me the wrong way to hear every year how Torre’s going to get the boot if the Yankees achieve anything ‘less’ a world series ring. There are so many factors you can attribute to a club struggling in the postseason, a great many of which fall out of the manager’s control.

The dude is a class act, and deserves better, in my opinion. If he gets canned, do any of you think he’ll be working anywhere next year?

omg, ol’ Earl. Those were too funny. thanks for the links.

The best thing about witnessing my Cubs lose another cocktease to the World Series championship is that I don’t have to witness another Frank TV commercial every fucking break on TBS…or Dick Stockton II: Baseball Edition…or Ernie Johnson…

GGPO

Angels are done lol down 9-0 they getting fucked

sigh well…so long as yankees lose…then that’s enough for me…damn you boston :arazz:

Not a good day for Southern California!

Angels get swept, Leinart broken collar, Saints lose again, USC upset by an unranked team using their backup quarterback losing pretty much to a bunch of nerds!

Only good news in the near future that may come is if Shawn Marion gets traded to the Lakers!

GG good career roger.

100 years of losing makes some people bitter.

The Cubs: Greatest chokers ever…?

well ds the yankees didnt quite pull off a raging demon…but i was right.
