hud is looking better. i like the boxes that show the characters in them and the cvs style super bars. since they are adding new animations, im hoping for new winposess and special intros. but most importantly new supers for those characters that have only one super.
Well google translations suggests that the new gauge has something to do with critical counters…
From the looks of things, that green bar is all for critical counter (so its not binded to your super meter anymore, though we don’t kno the parameters on how it fills up) The flaming Kyo is like a visual cue for the opponent to kno that he’s attempting a critical counter, so we don’t kno if all chars are flaming if they go for a Crit. Counter or its just a special case with Kyo.
I guess we’ll find out next week at the loketest
I’m gonna sound like a noob for asking, but even though I’ve seen it in a vid before, I still don’t understand what a critical counter is. Anyone care to explain?
Basically, due to the new clash system, u can parry attacks with other attacks, when your critical counter bar is full, u have to land a standing strong punch or strong kick against a special or whatever else, which triggers the ctirical counter
Which in that point, u can combo and free cancel for a few seconds and finish with a Possible DM thats guaranteed to land. At least thats what i got out of it
Huh. Sounds like it could lead to some interesting stuff. Will have to see for myself when I can get my hands on the game.
Well hopefully, the next loketest will be able to catch some glimpses of the system in action, at least for a definite idea of how it works.

Well the game is starting to shape up nicely, the new HUD looks nice. I think a lot of my concerns have been addressed, so I’m looking forward to this game again.

Super freeze is back.
I think they went a bit overboard with the speed now. Shit is on crack, I liked it better in the previous build. The rest of the changes seem to be positive though.
Oh, and how do you get CC bar? Any changes to the clash system?

I’m not gonna mind buying this game twice. Shit is lookin fire right now. And seeing st. C–>Power Geyser in HD is the crack. Vids needed more of Dat Apple Bottom but it’s good to finally see this game for what may be the final product. And it looks like the CC gauge works like the Stress Gauge from Power Instinct. Fills up by damage taken and moves of yours that are blocked. And big ups to Hatred Edge for providing dat good. Thanks, sir.
Looks like some characters have new moves, too. At least Benimaru, he casts a lightning on himself in one of those vids. I don’t recall seeing that move in previous builds.
