They probably weren’t in location tests because their graphics weren’t completely and the character balance wasn’t fully finished. It happens.
Also to the random guy a few posts up, I wasn’t bitching, I was wondering what the hell was up with him looking so muscular. I didn’t know he used to look like that, and even then he wasn’t THAT muscular back then when looking into it, so don’t get your panties in a twist.
KOF12 is finishing up this storyline, or so I heard. It already took them 3x to make this game just for 20 characters, making new ones and new moves and stuff would make it take way too long…
yeah, ryo does have a hint of older in his look, not quite cvs2 mr.karate looking old, but still aged. I like that he went back to his AoF stance as well, and not his earlier arms wide open one. Out of the trailer, he was the character i was impressed most with animation wise
his fwd back fwd P special and the flying double kick just look too sick.
I am actually kind of pissed off with what they did to Ryo. It looks like they completely cut the range of his Koken down to the exact length of his arm and he wasn’t exactly a speedy character definately looks a little slower in this game.
I bet up you dollars to some Shipley’s donuts that Athena is still in high school.
Man the gameplay in this game looks intense. I need to pick up a 360. Come on SNK PC port please?
Hopefully it becomes popular enough to be on EVO. There has been a lack of SNK games in recent years. Then again I’m not the big fighting wiz out there.
Billy… no way really! Now that would be cool. I always liked his design, and his moveset is kind of a combo between Terry and Kyo (yeah not super original, but hey I like it). Could open up future KoFs to more Double Dragon characters… now where’s Abobo!
Can someone explain the clash system to me please?
After the clash do you have to time the next attack and it becomes paper/scissors/stone or something?
Also, not that it really matters but, the rush-type supers (Robert, Kim) look kinda odd imo cause you can clearly see each individual hit. I guess they’ve temporarily slowed down each hit so that we can appreciate the sprites more.
Yeah, Ryo looks fucking retarded. Old stance sucks compared to KOF tiger stance (but it’s not completely terrible), his hair looks stupid (old AOF slicked back FTL), and his face looks worse. I think fucking Nona had a hand in this somewhere…because he reminds me a LOT of the shitty SVC Ryo artwork.
When you clash in GG you can do anything after. Jump, attack etc. There’s a pause like in KOFXII. So even if you clash it’s still possible your attack can be beaten. It’s all timing and hitboxes. In the 2nd trailer Benimaru and Robert clashed st.D at point blank range after that Robert did another attack that was beaten clean by Benimaru’s attack.
However at the moment it seems really easy to clash in KOF as opposed to GG.
