…I didn’t bother to read his updates cause I just naturally assumed he would be the same. It’s like removing a haduken from ryu…there was no way to know. It was a bad experience too, I was so excited playing the game for the first time then picked my main team…only to discover Kyo fucking sucks lol. Man I havn’t left a arcade so pissed in a long time.
Edit: Fuck 95 Kyo, exactly what did he have that made him more engaging aside from a linear playstyle…NGBC>>>95.
all this kyo talk just reminded me of saishyo from '98… he was cool… and i hate iori’s new style… only the new end animation of his DM looks really cool because new iori doesn’t have o.iori’s i say o.iori because i never used regular iori …ever coolest moves were hcb+K and his SDM from '97 and for some reason he had the sexiest looking dp i’ve ever seen …anyways i personaly don’t care about anyone other than clark… and goro sorta… so first question is there a 1 vs. 1 mode like other kofs? i really hope so…
besides that my other question is can clark do this combo…

if not possible at mid stage i think atleast it will work in the corner… got the idea from watching his combo vid…

Game design is about much more than just graphics and processing power.
Elements of timing, proper use/strength of sound effects, everything goes into making a satisfying experience.
SNK and Capcom have babbled many times over the years about the art of these games, and I appreciate good art when I see it. Thus, I was talking about it.
Really, I’m sure a majority of us here have been playing fighters for a long time; have you ever noticed the details that go into the games you enjoy most? You’ve never preformed a combo that has a timing to it that just clicks with you, with your favorite characters? Or seen a move that make ya wince at the strength of impact?
In japanese games, I find that their timing and “feel” of gameplay are often one of the reasons WHY I like them over something western developed, like say, Gears, or Mass Effect. I think it’s an important element of “quality” to a game.
SNK§ has always been especially good at these things, and I’m sure part of it is because of their intense love for old anime and manga (Seen all throughout the attacks of KoF, like with Ralph’s Galactica Phantom, or Leona’s V Slasher) They put a lot of “fanservice” in the games, hoping people will appreciate these details, and I’m just doing my part to appreciate their fine detail work.
Is that really so hard to understand?
Or is all we’re expect to do on this forum is to complain about what we don’t like? :wtf:

But yeah, the game is really satisfying. It feels really good… It has alot of UMPH. Comparing Street Fighter 4’s dying moan to KoF XII’s earth shattering orgasm is impossible.
Also, you forget that this is SRK. But at least it isn’t Cyberfaggox.

Except he’s talking about how Kyo’s recent iterations have had combos strings of specials that were truly superfluous - i. e. they were only asthetically different, but were functionally the same.
In GG, combos are different dependent on so many factors that, while they may look only subtly different, they *actually won’t work *interchangeably.
