The 2nd KOFXII Thread (debuting at AM Show in September)

That Kim vs Athena match pissed me off. She missed a DP and he punished with a freaking s.B WTF. At least do s.C into something.

I hope this is the year Iori finally dies.

Anyway, if they said it was only “60% done” then I don’t see how an April 2009 release is feasible.
The idea that they might add more characters to the console version is interesting and I never considered that…

I thought they said 70%? Regardless, it’ll be done when it’s done.

SNK is really banking on this; I highly doubt that they’ll release it without a lot of proper testing and tweaking.

As much as I hate to say it… LOL 2K1 and 2K3.

true, but NGBC had a ton of testing done (still didn’t catch Big, but…)

KOF XI had a decent amount too. I was more adressing that the game will more presentable in the future (super bars, proper systems, changing clashes, wall slams…etc.)

2k1 was eolith…but yea 2k3 was bad

I expect a new move for Iori.

QFT!!

Thick Athena FTW :bgrin:

In the Terry vs Robert video, is that Chang in the background on the left hand side?

Are u talking about the fat guy moving his arms? If so i doubt it.

So for me now its KOF XII > Tats V Cap > SF4

KOF XII its so beautiful…:lovin:

errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr u forgot Blazblue

KOF XII > BLAZBLUE > TAT VS CAP > SF4

p.s. THICK ATHENA LOOKS HAWT :woot:

Opps my bad:wgrin: I think im going to go all fanboy and start stating my teams im goin to play with…

Terry, Ryo and Kim:looney:

Sooo is ralf now a ‘big guy’ in KOF? in league with chang, diamon etc? I think they ‘Alexed’ out ralf:rofl:

Only thing I noticed about these videos is Kyo isn’t using any Aragami/Dokugami strings, which got me thinking. This is only a theory, which could be totally invalid due to the stage the game is in. Terry, Ryo, Athena and Robert are in their “old-school” look. Kyo has his old Kyoto Moon: Positive back. Robert uses his hands for his projectiles as opposed to kicking them.

So, what if this game was supposed to be a “throwback” of sorts? Where characters more or less have their classic movesets and whatnot? I for one would be highly upset because I play Kyo (no punch strings would = fail) but it’d be interesting if this was what they were playing at.

EDIT: Oh, and Athena looks badass in this game. Her Phoenix Infinity LDM would look fucking NUTS in this game if they give it to her.

Classic Robert is the shiznit. I could almost cry.

almost similar

BB > KOFXII (its more like a tie with BB)> TVC> SFHDR>SF4

I’m sorry, but I’m having a hard time thinking of characters in KOF who DON’T have recycled animations for supers.

Kyo’s classic supers are variants of his ground fire animation, with a ground chain animations thrown in occasionally.

Kim’s Phoenix Kick is LOTS of reused animation.

Terry’s Geyser is a Wave.

Iori’s Maiden Masher is a bunch of normals. Wine super is his ground fireball.

Ryuko Rambu is a bunch of normals.

Yamazaki’s Drill is stuffed with reused animation

Ultra Argentine Backbreaker? Goro’s grab supers? Anything Benimaru does?

The list goes on and on. Every 2D game reuses animations. To claim that Capcom is more guilty than any other company (especially SNK) is very debatable in my view.

This efficiency doesn’t take away from the awesomeness of either KOFXII or SF3.

I agree, BB and KOFXII tie in my book, two beautiful looking 2D fighters over anything!

I’m glad Arcade Infinity will be getting BB and KOFXII on release week :lovin:

I love Athena’s new strategies involving the bounce attack, now its useful.

You can’t say no to Thick Athena!!!

I really don’t see what the big deal is about this KOF. I just watched several videos of it and it looks like the same game it is every year with HD graphics and throwback features. Not really impressed with Blazblue either. Maybe I’m just outgrowing most 2D fighting games or something, but I’m hyped for SfIV.

How do you recycle an animation if you’re drawing it from the ground up?
