Kyo with chain punches. They’ve done alternate Kyo before, do it again dammit.
If not him, Kula and K’. Both would look beyond sick in HD.
Ok, let’s be real here. This whole “Re-Birth” theme is set in stone. I don’t want Mai and Yuri but I’m betting that’s who they put in. And maybe a new boss from some other SNK game.
I would be surprised if K’s team made it in though.
If anybody from 99-01 were to make it , K’, Kula, Maxima, and Whip seem most likely.

Ogura: to me personally, kof is more about the celebration of snk’s original characters than the story of Kyo kusanagi, K’, Ash. With that in mind I wanted to use this opportunity to try going straight with a fatal fury vs art of fighting concept.

And really, at this point, there’s only one character I want brought back: '98-era Mai. You know, the days when she had her Hishou Ryuu’en Jin (flaming upper thingie). If I could get that, I’d be happy. I’m not greedy.

“Going straight with AOF vs FF”, eh? Well, hopefully we’ll get my boy Takuma back, along with John and Mickey…and King. I wonder if they’ve basically completed the extra console characters, but just are rushing the arcade version they don’t have time to put them in. July console release…these characters have GOT to be nearly in their final revisions by now. And I will be a little dissapointed if it’s just like…2 characters, and even more so if they were from goofy-ass FF3.
No console games so far have used that code, so I’d give it up. Everybody keeps using their own shit.

As for console folks, place your bets on Classic KOF folks from '98 and back that were in either FF of AoF, not KOF exclusives.
Mai, Yamazaki, Yuri, Kasumi and King come to mind first - The Pimp is the only one I’d really want.
Would be nice to get some NESTS in the mix, if that’s so K’ is a shoe in and Jhun would be nice and my 2 down bitches Whip and Vanessa.
This looks like it might be only the 2nd KOF where I didn’t main Kyo in any way at all.
Oh, hell yes. John’s qcb+k in AOF2 was total win. I spammed that when I first started playing AOF2 because it was so hard back then. Jack would also be awesome, especially if he has his butt jump super move (that’ll be a hoot to beat your opponents with).
If they’re gonna go art of fighting vs. Fatal Fury, i say Billy Kane and Duck King for FF, Eiji and King for AOF (2nd fatal fury team completed, AOF team completed, an 95 Iori team completed)Geese as boss (since he’s in both games)
