The new vid about the interview reminds me of something that has been bugging me. Does anyone have experience with Raiden in previous games? I ask because everytime I have seen him, he looks like a grapple character that doesn’t appear to have many (or any good) special throws.

Is that how he has always been like or is this new to the character or is it just because everyone playing in most videos are garbage?

on CvS2 he had an anti air grab (sort of), his normal 360 and a followup grab of RDP + P.

so yeah, he doesnt have as many grab moves as clark for example, but he does have nice stuff like the firebreath or the tackles.

This vid is fully direct feed, so all of the sounds are completely present, music included. The video quality is poor, but the sound is more clear than any loketest vid I’ve seen. Sounds pretty good, if you ask me. I’m looking forward to hearing everything else it’s got to offer. I’m really hoping for some great tunes in XII.

here’s a description from one of the members from CX, Sugarboy.

sorry for keeping you guys waiting, but as i told u before i am a lazy fat ass sugarboy

this location test was located in one of kawasaki’s (one of tokyo’s outskirts, about 20 mintues from tokyo station by train) game center, and unfortunately there was no 3rd screen so people can take videos for the gameplay, so i only managed to record the opening (intro) of the game and i was not able to get any gameplay vidz or i would’ve been caught and handed to the nearest police station for being a hentai otaku shooting videos for people playing a fighting game (how stupid!!) here is my youtube channel if you wanted to check the intro of the game and the very beginning of the mid game demo (only partial seconds more than the one before, i got my camera ready from the beginning this time thats why)

there is no big changes in this loketest, and they didn’t mention how complete is this version, and they had a different questionnaire this time, they asked which character or move you think is weak and which character or move you think is strong, which kof series and characters did you keep playing the most, and what do you think about this new system (sousai and CC guard cancel etc…), then write down your thoughts and suggestions

the things i noticed about the game so far:

u can only do one successful CC with a full CC gauge

in the middle of a combo like this (jump, hit, land and hit, C+D) usually after a C+D u can throw a special move or a DM, in case your opponent was blocking, u can hold C+D until your character hits and he will guard break your opponent!!, in case u say this is so obvious my opponent can read this, then while u are charging your C+D you can cancel it with any special move right away!!

CCing with a DM takes extra damage than connecting it normally

a standing character aiming for a CC has more priority than a character just recovering from a fall aiming for a CC, in other words a standing character will always CC his recovering opponent if he meets the CC condition no matter what.

from reading the new questionnaire, looks like they want to make their final touches in balancing this game.

i dont think i have any more worth telling improvements about the game, sorry for keeping you guys waiting but i am super busy these days.

and i guess you guys should not expect anything extra in the console version like extra DMs or characters, i dont think SNK would be spending time making such improvements in this game (although what they have done so far is incredible) other than spending that time developing the next game.

Ok, Raiden has his full costume in some scenes and is missing the top portion in others. What’s the deal with that? >.>

The way they did the colors, gave the top part its own color, so they most likely colored it skin tone, making it look like he’s not wearing it at all, so in a sense, he has two costumes in that sense.

Can you blame 'em? Even if the game is allegedly going to get an arcade release over here, the majority of us won’t get the game until whenever a console port arrives.

Any way…this looks NICE. I only wish that SNK Playmore would make sure to get some sort of deal with GGPO underway…

I’m pretty sure that’s not the case, simply because the shading on his chest is different from when he actually has the costume. The sprites are massive and the most detailed ones in a fighter to date. If you look at his sprite (We’ll use the Extended trailer seen here: [media=youtube]SDVh5pf12F0[/media] @2:28 as an example) in the earlier vids and location tests, and then look at it in the newest trailer (1:17 in when he does the dropkick) it is totally GONE. Pallet swapping might seem like a logical explanation, but that’s not it as the design on his chest is the same color as the pattern on his pants and mask, and those are still visible in the same yellow color.

So, you could be right, but only if there’s so many colors that editing details like designs doesn’t effect things of the same color. But seeing as there hasn’t been an announcement of any features for the console version, let alone a color edit mode specifically, and how all the other characters have the same colors pallets as they have had in loketests, I’m pretty skeptical.

Any other ideas?
