That’s like major cities and even then 38k is over double minimum wage of 7.50.

I dunno man. One of my first well paying jobs was working as a 911 operator and I already had my first child. Was making about 36-38k a year before I even got raises. I felt like I was living like a god damn king.

Edit: Not to say I don’t agree, it just really does depend on where you live. In Tucson here 38k a year is pretty decent. You’d live nice. Go one state over to Cali and youre not doing anywhere close to as well. Massachusetts taxes the fuck out of you so a lot of your money goes there.

Honestly those people just want to make enough to live comfy. They don’t want more then they really deserve, just enough to live without it being an endless struggle day to day. Assuming they are just greedy and want more for the sake of more is some Bill O’Reilly nonsense imo.

Mostly in response to chatter about raising minimum wage to 15$. Had no idea people thought 36-40k range was poor. Hell 15$ would put you around 32k?

Really just confused what kinda money people really expect outta the jobs they do.
