The 2020-21 NBA Thread: Raptors in 7

I’m crying over here

Jamal Crawford has been ridiculous the last few games.

He’s basically the bench

eh, kuzma realistically should have nance jr’s position. randle upset he’s not starting over lopez. there’s a good case to be made whether or not he deserves to be there either way. he’s just as efficient as brook, if not more offensively, but brook has no future with the lakers. randle keeps the lakers in some of these games on both ends, and pairs with kuzma really well. if nance doing bench duty tonight with kuzma starting wasn’t enough of an indicator, nance just doesn’t work well with kuzma.

but i dunno what the lakers strategy is. luke keeps bringing off his best scoring unit off the bench. 3 of the top 4 scorers on the team per 36 are off the bench, and that includes randle. they seem to want to focus on defense but that starting unit is still struggling to get scoring for that defense to matter.

warriors tie up the conference record with houston, weird how they’re doing it with as many players as golden state is missing.

Kuzma my goodness. This guy can score anywhere and in all kinds of ways

We want to keep Randle, but he will cost us our salary cap. He’s not happy with his playing time, although he has tried to not make this as apparent, but defensively he’s way better than Kuzma. Kuz is terrible defender on and off the ball, probably his biggest flaw at this point. There’s a high chance that Randle is probably gone after this season, so I guess the front office is trying to lure some trade bait towards the deadline.

Walton is stubborn with his lineups, so I don’t expect Kuzma to remain the starter for very long. The Lakers should really consider just playing small ball with Randle at the 5 now that Brook is out. I guess Bogut is seeing minutes because of his passing abilities, but he almost gives you nothing outside of that. If they aren’t going to play some more rookies like Thomas Byrant, who can actually block shots under the rim, then might as well go smaller and keep the pace flowing.

I still don’t think Luke is in charge of his rotations and lineups, I still think Magic is telling him who to play.

Outside of Simmons, Embiid, Covington and Holmes… the Sixers ain’t squat. The goal for this offseason should be backcourt depth. When the two best ball handlers on the team are your 6’10 PG and 7’2 Center, there’s a problem.

Fultz will help a lot, but hopefully when the draft order is settled, we’re in a position to get that dude from Oklahoma.

3 rookies starting, no Lopez, and no KCP? I’m impressed. I legit think we might get rid of Bogut and KCP by next season. If Randle asks for a max contract then I can see him leaving too.

This type of win gets me more and more hype for the future.

Randle can’t finish at the rim when it means more.

well, the rockets were without capela and luc mbah a moute, and lost cp3 in the final stretch and only played 8 people. can’t take away the win, but its probably not fair to just say lakers were missing people…

The Lakers will probably go after cousins who gives them everything they need and some attitude.

Take your pick on what to do with the forward spot especially if you get PG13. You have options to trade with especially since you don’t get a draft pick. At this point if they get cousins you have options. I personally would lose Nance unless he came off the bench. Starting lineup if I had complete control and could guarantee PG and Cousins is

Lonzo
PG
Randle
Kuzma
Cousins

Yes I would trade Ingram as he would be redundant and you could get a lot for him. I like Randle more defensively. You also can get some 3 and D guys to round out the bench.
Lonzo has people that can score and cover for his defensive lapses. I think the offense the run needs to mirrow GS lots of back door screens and cuts. Right now they aren’t doing enough of that which leads to stagnation.

shoulda gone Gianis > Lebron oh well

don’t @ me

I don’t want Lakers building around a homeless version of Jason Kidd

My picks were…

EAST: Simmons (G), Kyrie (G), Lebron (FC), Love (FC), Embiid (FC)
WEST: Harden (G), Lillard (G), Durant (FC), Boogie (FC), Davis (FC)

I probably could’ve went with Giannis too (instead of Love), but I figure he’s in regardless.

He’s a restricted FA. Only way he walks is if the Lakers don’t match an offer sheet from another team. And I can’t imagine that happening without the Lakers trying to get something in return.

If bulls win tonight, my hate for lebron will be stronger than before!

LET’S GO CAVS!

It was an ugly win against Philly, but I’ll take it. I really have nothing to complain about the team at the moment. Casey has been trusting the youngsters, they have been producing, and Kyle and DeMar have adapted well to the new ball movement. It has been fun to watch.

Wth just happened? The Suns went from up 12 to down 3.

The Sixers coach is an idiot. That team needs Embiib. He kept him in for what was it? Three straight overtimes and now he’s out with a sore back. You don’t burn out your star player midseason… That’s just dumb.
