I like the trade for both sides. The west is officially wide open for at least the next season, possibly next two seasons. The Lakers taking their swing now is perfect since pretrade the best team in the West next year is arguably the Rockets. Meanwhile the Pelicans got a Kings Ransom in a solid young nucleus and draft picks for AD. Also, Ingram is a RFA next summer so they can part ways with him, trade him or keep him one more year and trade him away as an expiring.

Definitely agreed. They need some shooting badly though. If possible a Korver or Danny Green will do. Danny Green is great pickup and more realistic approach. Their shooting is almost non-existent.

I doubt Kyrie would go to the Lakers. It is obvious he wants to be “the man”. Lakers should have their doubts as well accepting him if they think long term.

Kyrie vs role players? I would honest settle for more role players if I were the GM of the Lakers. Especially after this GSW mess.

I actually think after the mess that kyrie experienced in boston and cleveland before when he was younger showed him that hes a high talent closer but not necessarily a leader. him and lebron have reconciled their differences and he would be a GREAT fit with AD. the lakers need a backcourt and with all the attention AD and lebron command he would be able to have the same success he did when he won the championship. only thing that would stop this is the fact that brooklyn is his home area and that he is changing his agent to ROC nation. though i think he anticipated being able to lure durant there to play along side him.

He’s self-aware, boys.

I’ll miss their State Farm commercials…

Both make like 40 mil/ year right? Good luck moving either of them. No team is footing that bill.

Teams would definitely trade for Harden, but Chris Paul? Hell no. That team is imploding at exactly the worst time. They finally have a chance to get past the Warriors this season and their top two players can’t respect each other enough to play ball.

Yeah the Rockets are fucked. Anyone dumb enough to trade for CP3 would be immediately fired. And the Rockets don’t wanna tank so they ain’t getting rid of Harden. And these two together aren’t Shaq/Kobe good so they aren’t just playing through it either. Hope they enjoy losing to the Lakers in 5.

I guess Harden really did jack up Chris Paul’s kitchen.

This is great news for Lebron, AD, and the Lakers. The Lakers are the number 1 contenders.

I’m not a Rockets fan, but this is the absolute worst possible time to make like the Challenger and blow up. This is a rare occurrence where the Western Conference is gonna be free for the next 2-3 years, at least and the Warriors aren’t going to be a lock for the Finals going forward. The only real competition would be LeBron/AD and the Lakers.

Majority of other teams are stagnant (looking at you Blazers, OKC and Spurs) and I get the feeling that the Grizz are gonna fuck up their draft via stupid assed trades, one that might result in them being stuck with Lonzo. If I’m Morey, I’m telling both Harden and CP3 to both grow up, hash it out and that Harden will no longer be primary ball handler going forward.

I don’t believe the article at all.

It is not just because of Morey and Paul already denying it. It is not because of me being a Rockets die hard.

It is because of the line about Harden and Paul not talking for months. Now I don’t watch every Rockets game, but I see them on the regular. Besides the weeks when Paul was injured, I have never seen a game broadcast without the two of them interacting at some point before, during or after. If the article says they don’t interact since the most recent loss I could believe that, but in the off season is when they filmed the State Farm commercials and as I mentioned there is no point during the season for the supposed rift to exist as the article states, which means that and potentially the whole thing is bullshit.

Then don’t believe the article. That’s how it is with stories, a lot of embellishment so writers can get their own spin on the ongoing drama.

However, it doesn’t mean that this saga don’t have a ton of smoke. Also the denying is completely worthless considering they denied wanting to get rid of Melo, only to do it two days later.

It would taking nothing short of a joint press conference with Harden and CP3 to get everything to die down.

So basically the Bulls will trade for CP3 then. since Gar/Pax are morons that deserved to have been fired years ago.

I’m liking the Conley trade for my Jazz.
Gtfo Rubio, you can’t handle the 3-pt meta.

you cant change harden lol hes the reason why morey is even relevant and hes a MVP he has to change from within
and that change is very unlikely since he sees success for himself.
his game doesnt work against the great teams in the playoffs. they arent gonna let 1 man and his backup dancers beat them. hes struggled with certain defenses played against him dating all the way to his finals appearance with OKC. As long as harden is your guy playing like this. the rockets will be skipped on their turn when it comes to winning a championship.
Him and chris will need to work it out cause nobody is taking that contract. not even the stupid teams. but chris has had problems with every star hes played with its a reoccurring theme so he needs to fix himself too.

Harden and Paul are good enough with right talent around them to make it out of the West. I just don’t think they have the right coach. D’Antoni started the season dreadful when they didn’t have their Defensive coach to start the season. Folk like to put that on Carmelo and Paul playing bad but the team as a whole was not playing defense until Bzdelik came back. In playoffs the team got out coached by Golden State playing a small lineup, keeping most of the depth they had with forwards and centers on the bench, in favor of guards.

D’Antoni needs to show he is legit and get more from the non stars that he gives minutes to. Why Thumper was getting minutes over Faried, Green and House especially when Durant was out is foolish IMO.

Rob Pelinka showing his ass already. Apparently the whole cap situation to make room for the max? Completely forgot to work that into the trade. Now they have to go begging to the Pels to make the money work.

Yeah, never mind worrying about the Lakers. It’s gonna be Lebron/AD/Kuzma and scrubs. Someone go smack CP3 in the face, the West is still free for Houston if they get their shit together.
