Cavs have nothing but Love, of course he’s staying.

Maybe we’ll see the double-double machine Kevin Love from Minnesota again. As of right now, he is the Cavs #1 scoring option.

Yeah, that is usually the case for better and worst.

Osman 4 MVP

Apparently Draymond tried to apologize but Tristan Thompson wasn’t having it, punches him instead. LeBron and KD had to come to the rescue.

Are ya’ll alive? It’s October.

LeBron balling on auto-pilot…

hi all. we need a couple more people to fill out the srk fantasy basketball league. we’ve been playing for about 10 years now and its serious stuff. 9 cat h2h auction draft with bidding for free agents. here’s the invite link

Jimmer scored 41 points on 40 shots lol.

He also played all 48 minutes of a preseason game. :eyes:

Butler going off on his team yo…

Do you guys think is necessary to start a new thread? SRK activity seems low than pre reset drama. Most of the active posters are on Geo’s bball discord FYI

Worst fears realized about the Rockets… their defense is garbage so far.

Picking up Melo and losing some of their defensive players was not a smart thing to do in the off season. Melo was on the floor for 27 minutes in yesterday’s game. That’s 27 minutes of no defense from him. At least Ariza and Mbah a Moute played defense. Prior to getting Melo, the team was already built to beat Golden State. Mbah a Moute and Ariza were some of Houston’s best defenders along with Capela and Tucker. They were very close and IMO didn’t need to do any big changes in the off season other than look for a player that can help them defensively. :coffee:

Edit: Mbah a Moute signed a $4.3 million 1-year contract with the Clippers. Don’t tell me the Rockets didn’t want to pay at least that much to keep him?

Ariza wanted more money so he was gone either way. Luc though was a big hit since they could have kept him on the cheap. Also with the defensive assitant retireing is a bigger deal than people realize.

RIP Lavar’s JBA league:

This is a good way to get around the NCAA rules and the NBA/NBPA with the whole CBA thing.

Edit:

This seems to be a trial run for one G League season. The current CBA runs through 2023-2024. But there is an opt-out option after 2022-2023.

A way to develop your brand without having to mess the ‘amateur’ bullshit that is the NCAA. Glad for those skilled and wise enough that will be able to use this route.

Now you’re really gonna hear those WNBA players cry foul about this. You’re going to have high school prospects making more than 90 percent of their league.
