Things to note about the Eagles after Week 1:
- Wentz did solid, but he has to work on his deep ball and his passes sailing on him a bit. But other than that, he had his poise and his ability to escape and make plays is just absurd.
- Alshon was…okay. Not great, not outright terrible. Couple of meh drops. I expect more from him even with Norman covering him
- Agholor…he was fantastic. Two drops but both were on Wentz sailing the ball. Hands were superb today and of course when he has the ball in his hands, he’s a nightmare for defenses. Hope to see more of this as the year goes on.
- Blount, nothing fancy but definitely showed that the preseason was nothing to worry about. Pederson has to run the ball more in general though.
- Speaking of Pederson, STOP WITH THE FANCY BULLSHIT! Skins read those plays every single time. Stick to normal play calling please.
- Sturgis recovered from a bad EP miss to make the rest of his kicks, including some tough ones.
- Darby going down hurts a lot. Have to hope beyond hope it’s not a season ender.
- Front 7 absolutely feasted as expected.

My biggest issue with O’Brien and GM Rick Smith together so far is mainly when it comes to certain players, they can’t evaluate for shit. When it comes to opening day starting QBs (although praying Watson turns this trend around), when it comes to offensive line (interior guards especially) and frankly every receiver not named Hopkins.
On the plus side, Ervin actually didn’t look like ass, he had no significant impact but I was expecting him to be trash as a player.
