I suspect they are writing her on the edge primarily because, she isn’t committed fully to the show, so they are leaving room to write her out whenever. Pretty much, her character is either nutty, stupid, a combination of both or a murderer.
Honestly, growing up, I never watched Melrose Place but the chick that plays Ella has had me ensnared since her time as Ruby on Supernatural and she is killing it here as well. Surprised she hooked up with blond boy, I’d figured he’d wind up snacking on hooker girl, find out about her plight, help her out and get busted trying to do so.
Either way, they should just call this the Ella show, because she is easily the best thing on it.

Nah, I’m on Ella’s side with this one. She’s more appealing to me in terms of character…and yeah, possibly in terms of hotness value too. Ri-Ri has the better body, but Ella is more of a cutie…cuteness typically wins over raw hotness, at least in my book. E was about to cry because Ri-Ri obviously hit a weak spot…Ella is scared to death with the whole love/romance thing, and she possibly has some underlying self esteem issues as a result…and Katie is doing an excellent job of subtly getting that across in her portrayal. Billy v2 definitely made the right choice here…I’d say he upgraded.
*I forgot that “Kimber” from Nip/Tuck was in this! BONUS hotness points right there. Hopefully her character will become more useful to the story, so she can get more airtime. My penis is quite a fan of “Kimber”…she’s almost like a resurrected Marilyn Monroe.
