Redbeard: I can’t speak for Krasshole. His persona on SRK has always been a bit on the negative side. I don’t really see the harm in Marvin’s first post though. At first I thought it was just to start a joke thread but considering it was true, I don’t see what was so harmful about it.
Concerning AC; I was under the impression that the TGA players had some experience (limited as it was) with the game before TOSF got there. Big props to everyone that placed in what was a fresh game for everyone. That’s my mistake and I apologize for it.
As for returning, I’m already thinking about that and likely looking at mid April (February is a no go and March is Montreal Annual Tournament V). This time with a combined GTASF/TOSF team of 7 or more players.

For AC, one match got recorded(Semi Finals, Nerd Josh vs. Homer, where Nerd Josh sends Homer to the loser Bracket). Nothing else got recorded for AC. It was stolen to record all of 3S.

I come home from what was an AWESOME tournament to see this bullshit and negativity from PEOPLE WHO DID NOT EVEN FUCKING GO TO THE EVENT. If you want to be patriotic or whatever, that’s fine, but complaining about speed and other things that make absolutely no fucking sense at all…and are DISRESPECTFUL to the people that just hosted a tournament…is totally uncalled for. Everyone who went to TGA had a good time. 3s tournament was HYPE and close, CvS2 was also close. Everything was fun as hell. I don’t see why we have to have idiots come on SRK and stink it up afterwards, period. The funny thing is, I don’t see any of the Canadian players who actually attended on here talking nonsense…HMMMMMMMMMM :looney:
The next TGA event will be held in February but I’m going to talk to Gavin about the details. No date is set yet.
By the way, I played like complete shit during the 3s tournament but did much better after it was over. I had some really good matches with Aneurysm X/JS Master that went back and forth. I even had a rematch with CB that was about 10x better than the first one. I only wish I could have done that in the actual fucking tournament, but unfortunately since it takes us 4+ hours to get to TGA, we couldn’t get here in time to actually get casuals in (without waiting in a 3 hour line, that is).
As for ST, I am pleased to say that people are getting better overall. Every time I play John or Wall or Nestor I am actually being challenged…the wins are NOT free, which is a good thing. And VDO coming out of nowhere and beasting to get 3rd with Gief…after I taught him a little trick about tick throws…priceless:tup:
See you all next month, and hopefully some of you can make it to web2zone in NYC for the event we are throwing on February 10th.

Oh and while we’re on the subject of the good of a community. I’m the one that got the ball rolling on organizing this co-promotional event to begin with. I’m the one that organizes all the road trips for GTASF players to hit up events like ECC each year. I’m the one that went out of his way to help YOU with your CvS2 brackets at ECC. Don’t tell me shit about the SF community. I bend over backwards for the good of my local scene and any scene I can assist whenever possible.

as for the justin thing, shrug. when people are better, they’re better. it doesn’t mean i’m not manning up or anything, but i know where i stand, and i give credit where it’s due. justin’s better than me. do i have a problem coming in 2nd? no. do i want 1st? sure, but he’s much more experienced than i am, and i’m not throwing it out as an excuse, but i don’t train to get better in 3S, so if i will surpass him, it’ll be very gradual anyway. if someone is better, they’re better.
