I’m sorry I actually meant quite the opposite, I probably should have worded that better. The people I was referring to are the people you’ve never met, who come to TGA who play mostly Bemani games and play MB and other fighters casually who aren’t regularly part of the fighting game community and have no interest to play fighters seriously. They play MB and the fighters casually and have never entered a tournament before and have no interest in doing so. However they have much potential. For various reasons MB appeals to them the most and I think it’s great. I want to develop their interest and get them to play more seriously. So in that respect I think MB has great appeal to have general people enter the fighting game world. The game having roots in the manga is great for it carries recognition and is by nature less intimidating.
Those are the people I want to enter the tournament so they can see that tournament play makes the game more exciting and gives motivation to practice and learn the game more.
I know without a doubt that anyone who is a regular fighting game player at TGA can handle themselves in any fighting game to some extent so if you beat them I think it’s an accomplishment. Beating me at MB however, is probably not as satisfying…lol.
