You have said more than once that you want to be convinced otherwise. Yet I have never seen anyone actually bother to sit down and play at these tournaments (at TGA or web2zone), and the only person I have seen ask for advice was Tony B… Now if someone was not interested in playing because they want to focus all of your time on 3S/GG/Tekken/whatever that’s fine; they just should not be surprised to get called out on an ignorant statement the make.
Personally I don’t really care with regards to what random hate people have for the game; I figure 90% of it is just blatant trolling to get a rise out of Master Chibi (which works wonderfully, if that’s your intent – he really needs some thicker skin). If people want to learn how to play that’s great; the community at large would be more than willing to help. If not, nobody is going to hold it against you (really).
PS: Chibi sucks at MB and always has, don’t use him as a gauge of high-level play.

I’ve never had any problems with you, so simply walking in front of a camera really shouldn’t spark such a huge argument. you could have just said “guys please don’t walk in front of the camera”. Hell, you probably would’ve even gotten an apology, and we would’ve stopped (not like it was intentional anyways).
What Will said is true: all i kept hearing from the MB guys while sitting at marvel and cvs is about how broken marvel is and how much 3s sucks. I’m not gonna bother naming exactly who said it, because it wasn’t just one person. And our crowd (me, CMX, Caddles, John who doesn’t post here, Grid) didn’t say a single bad word about melty blood, mainly because, I just got the game yesterday with intentions of getting into it by the next ranbat hopefully (along with 2 others in that list of people). I even told Dipstick I was getting into it. I know you didn’t specify exactly who was talking trash, but i’m just saying, we certainly didn’t.
Well the people who were talking shit about MvC2 and 3S are idiots. Hell, I openly hate on 3S but I went and entered the 3s team tournament anyway (yay 5th place), so I do enjoy the game. And I love MvC2 to death, but I’m pretty damn bad at it (Storm is my only damn problem with that game anyway), so fuck the haters for that game too.
And I didn’t incoherently mumble (again, you will hear this when I pretty much just blast you guys for walking infront of the camera during the match vid) but I had to fucking create a damn barricade to stop people from walking infront of me. Shit’s just common courtesy, I shouldn’t even have to say anything. Would you have stood infront of the projector during winner’s finals at Evo East? Of course not, same shit.
As for giving out names, well I don’t know anyone outside the people I’ve always known at TGA, and I’m not about to go pointing out people out of line up like you’re going to jail or some shit, so I’ll just squash this and leave it at that. I was just hella frustrated when I wrote that anyway, but that’s a given.

I entered the tournament and got raped by KoreanDJ and Kayin. I hadn’t played since the last ranbat, so I forgot most of what I knew (not that I knew much to begin with). I’m new to MB and haven’t even scratched the surface of the game so I don’t feel I can say how good or bad the game is compared to others. It’s certainly very different from other fighting games, It has lot of interesting old/original mechanics some of which I like some which I don’t. Not that I fully understand said mechanics but from a newbs view I like the air dashing/double jump, air blocking, that super jump forward thing, and the ability to regenerate life via heat/bloodheat. I don’t like the tap buttons to reduce damage thing, or that you can move around before the match starts. All in all I’d like to get better at Melty Blood but I play it rarely because my main focus is GGAC and I have difficulty remembering multiple fighter systems/characters. I also don’t have the latest version of the game. I’ve been thinking about getting the latest version but I heard its pc only. I’m hoping thats not the case, I know nothing about pc fighters and unless I can somehow hook up my hori to a pc I’d have to get another stick just for this.
On a different topic this Guilty Gear tournament was the first time I didn’t lose my first match. Even the one time I took 3rd place I lost my first match and went straight to the losers bracket.
HOS player I fought first round: Don’t recall your name but that was an intense match. I don’t have much expericance against HOS but fear him greatly. His 6h is scary, and I have trouble stopping that level gauge charging move(plus it now charges much faster then before).
Asian Dave: Even before our matched started I was worried about your almost psychic ability to predict my moves, but when I realised you were using Potemkin I was absolutely terrified. He’s such a bad match up for Baiken theres very little I can do without the risk of getting potempkin bustered/ air potemkin bustered. By the way i said earlier that Baikens 2k looked like an actual kick, I must have had a mind blank or something to forget what it looks like. She actually smacks the opponent with her sword sheath.
JJuice: Your constant pressure and tricky okizeme made me lose my cool. I kept repeating the same stupid mistakes mainly jumping to much and attacking with j.s only to get countered with 6P into 40% life air combo 9/10 times. I didn’t realise how foolish this was until the last round but by then it was to late.
Nice tourney…gotta lot to learn in so little time before evo world. Next time i go to TGA i gotta try to slow down on the curry…that gave me the shyts…then i had to listen to those old school games like double dragon and stuff being played while im on the toilet.
