TFNS Toronto Presents: Pre-T11 SSFIV Teams 7/31st

dam teams. with bad friends who can i go with. and stupid paramore (lol) im going to the states to see them.

I should be able to make it so long as I have a team to play for from Waterloo. So put me down for being available to run the event with anant/gerjay if they come too.

RB: Thanks. I’ll put you down in my list.

NeoRussell

JS Master and Blitzman have agreed to let me team with them.

Tekken 1on1 starts at 5 or 6p by the way.
So that I don’t clash with the Team Tournament.
If you want a crash course on Sat and got 15 mins to spare, send me a message and I’ll book you.
It’s free so it’s really just to gain another game experience.

Everybody create their team yet?

NeoRussell

Once the tourney is done so it doesn’t interfere with running it, I wouldn’t mind getting a brief overview on Tekken. Not that I look to get really involved in the game, but I always enjoy watching it on the live streams at major events and wouldn’t mind learning a thing or two about it. Maybe I will play it at T11 for kicks, who knows.

Pick Bryan, mash mach breaker and orbital heal, taunt reset your shit once you get a dude to the wall, profit.

Hahaha, I’ll keep that in mind. But seriously, when a game has a bear, a kangaroo, a wooden man, a devil, and a fat guy named bob, it is very very hard for me to pick a human character lol.

Greek: If it was that easy.

RB: Cool to know. I’ll message you later.

NeoRussell

Bryan is a cyborg cop. (Robot Renegade Cop) Nothing human about him. Plus he has the best laugh in the game.

Hey, does anyone know how order lock works in this tournament? Seeing as how it is best of 1 per set, how does the team order go? Does the teams adjust accordingly as the match goes on, or do the teams have a set team order during sign-up and they must stick to it throughout the whole tournament? I only really see this being an issue at the start of the match (eg. Two teams know each other, and argue who plays first for each team due to counterpicking).

What I usually do with team tournaments is flip a coin who decides the order first.
Example: Team 1 and Team 2.

Team 1 picks heads and Team 2 picks tails.
If the coin goes heads, Team 1 will have to choose their Team Order first. Team 2 follows after.

There is a character lock in the tournament because its teams.
I don’t recall ever having an order lock though. You just use the coin again to decide who chooses their order first.

NeoRussell

… Uhh, that seems a little stupid, Russel - the order can make a big difference, and it seems unfair to give one team a random advantage. What’s wrong with double-blind select?

LOOOL coin flip team select WTF

Team order select is very important… in Montreal, we always have the teams write down the order hence double-blind select like basics suggests

I think this is the way to go. I’d prefer to do what Basics and HvE said in that you write down the order (or do something of knowing the order) before the match starts. This could be messy and slow down the tournament a bit, but I think it is the best way to go. Hopefully Dice and maybe one other person can help me out with this during tourney.

yea if theres any conflict just notify me asap.

I don’t really participate much in Teams and that’s how they handled it when I played in the states. LOL. Sorry if that sounded really stupid. There’s just too many rules i’ve followed and that one made sense.

Whatever the bracket organizers decide, that’s fine.
I won’t be there till 5p that’s why.

NeoRussell

I’m teamless :frowning: Someone adopt me

Yea I’ve got beef just thought u should know

Seconding this. Theres a conflict. Dennis Kim isn’t coming. Complete conflict.
