@ = Home Team

You will play 5 of these matchups at this regional. Probably depending on which teams actually show up. As stated earlier, Louisiana, Waco and Austin will probably not have teams at this event. San Antonio is currently having trouble finding transportation. Plus there is still the possibility of teams registering last minute on Sunday. New teams will play their matches first before we go on with the regular schedule.

Couple players got swapped out, I allowed these last minute changes cause each team allowed it and it is before the season started. However, once the matches begin this Sunday, all teams are set. Those that have not played still have time to finalize their teams until their first match.

You should let provisional teams play the non-default games too, come on it’s the first one.

I’m open to bribes

Results from the first League Competition:

Team $3 - 4 wins, 1 loss
Team Top Tier - 2 wins, 1 loss
Team Central - 2 wins, 2 losses
Team Don’t Give a Fuck - 2 wins, 2 losses
Team K-town - 1 win, 2 losses
Team Unknown - 0 wins, 3 losses

Hopefully some more teams can make it out to our next Regional in Dallas in September.

THREE DOLLAHS! THREE DOLLAHS!

Chris, when the date gets closer, please give me the matchups i’m supposed to run on the League schedule.

Three dollars.

Three dollars says people should learn what games Capcom has made. And practice. Ha ha ha ha ha three dollars.

Added Team Waco and updated the rules a bit. We should get word of the venue soon. We’re discussing restrictions on the gaming lists before we ask for submissions. Once those are finalized, we will be asking for lists no later than August 8th, that gives each team about 2 and a half weeks to choose a list of 5 games they want to play. It will be on console, keep that in mind. MvC2(Dreamcast), CvS2(PS2 or Dreamcast), 3rd Strike(PS2), Tekken 5(PS2), and Reload(PS2) will be available.

New rules about game sets!

Ok, from now on, most of the Regionals will be on console. There may be an exception for certain games on arcade, but for the most part, the games will be on console. When you choose a game, be prepared for the chance that the game may have to be played on console. Be sure you actually have a copy of the game, convertors and controllers for the game, and in case you need to, the actual console to play it on.

That being said, a new stipulation is that each team must keep this game list until Texas Showdown 6. This means, you may not alter the list, this will be final! The only time a game may be changed is if the game is not available, but this will be a committee decision. It is still the responsibility of the team to provide the game in case the venue cannot. Because it is now mostly console, this should not be a problem. The format for picking games for your list, because of the infinite amount of games out there for console, will be as follows:

“vs” series game(ie MvC2, XvSF, etc.)
Capcom SF game(Tradition SF2, Alpha, or SF3 series)
Non-Capcom fighting game(Tekken, VF, DOA, Guilty Gear, etc)
SNK fighting game(KOF, FF, AOF, SS, etc)

Technically speaking, you could choose anything you want, but it will be up for review by the League committee. We will be looking for the game to be competitive(ie. not a score attack based system), fighting game related(ie. characters, genre), and with in reason(ie. a game thats not TOO out of bounds with what we are holding)

For the next Regional, we’ll need the game lists in no later than August 8th. You can either post them up, IM me ddr_gakusei or KINGDOM, PM me ddr_gakusei or KINGDOM. We will review the lists and approve or disapprove them. Teams not expecting to show up to the next regional should get in contact with me ASAP.
