THANKS to all the people that did interviews. I hope everyone enjoys the footage. I tried to get all the questions that people wanted to be answered. I shot around 1.5 hours of interviews.
It consisted of: Ruin, Justin Wong, Combofiend, Potter, Deuce, AznHitler, Genius, Kensou, NKI, Ryuwinz, Alex Navarro, Biggzy, Javi, Cmutt, Jason Cole, Jumpsuit Jesse, Edma, Krazystep, Mopreme, Hsien, Fubarduck, Eddie Lee, and tons more of random people. So people should definitely check out the interviews.
I greatly apologize for people that I did not get to interview. I really wanted to get as many people as I can on it. It was tough running around grabbing people to interview.

Just in case for people who dont know, I was the guy running around snapping random pictures and grabbing people for interviews. I was rusty in all my games, so blahhh.
Texas Showdown 4 was by far the best tournament Ive been to besides Evolution, but even then Evolution barely edges TS4 out. Everything was awesome, top players from all over, incredibly close games, dream matches that were fulfilled, grudge matches, and overall a great weekend. TS4 made me wanna quit my job and play games all the time!
This is gonna be LONG because I believe there are lots of people who made this tournament memorable. From the top players to the quiet gamers.
Cmutt: I dont know how many times Ive commended you on your dedication to the players and Stargate. I must have seen you check equipment hundreds of times everytime someone had a small complaint. For people who have not been to Stargate, it has the best sticks and equipment anywhere in the U.S. If anyone complains, its because theyre too use to their local crappy equipment and dont know what true perfection feels like. Thanks for all the hard work and patience you put into this weekend and every other weekend. Stargate 4 Lyfe!
Javi, Ranma, Turtler, John S., and whoever else help run the tournament: What a kickass job. Everything was ran as smoothly as possible and in a timely manner. People might have complained about the time issue, but thats kinda expected with late sleepers and a huge turnout. These guys were able to keep their cool even though they had questions asked every 20 seconds about who do I play next? Huge props and your work wont ever be forgotten.
Lay, Mike, Vinh, the DVD/Media crew: Fkin TOO HOT! That must have been the best media covered tournament ever in the U.S. I dont even think Evolution can hold a candle to what we did. Direct Feeds, dedicated camcorders, TVs setup, random pictures, interviews everywhere, ETC ETC. I cant wait for the DVD because I know it will be the best ever.
Local Players:
Marneto Phan: Huge wins and tough matches all weekend. Although everyone puts the hate on you, I know everyone respects your gameplay and skills. I know I wouldnt have wanted to face you in any game, and I bet everyone felt the same way. I think everyone forgets how young you are because of your incredible skill level. Keep the emotions in check, and you are gonna be a dominator for years. Keep on Keepin on!
Kevin Kensou Turner: What a great and impressive win for Houston and SW. I dont think anyone had money on a low stamina Chipp to pull off the victory over all the other top tier players. But you stuck to your game and showed everyone what it takes to win with your favorite character. Huge props and hopefully you got the respect you deserved. Shut the haters up!
Genius: Straight comedy all weekend! You finally got to show what your Dizzy is capable of. Your zoning and execution skills puts everyone in awe everytime you play. What I wanna know is where the hell is my assist button! Extremely close matches in the end.
David Hitler Hem: Killer in every game this weekend. Imagine what you would have placed if you actually played games more than once a month! Incredible natural skills. Good shiet all around. BTW, if you didnt know, walking into Justins Sagats fierces is not really a good strategy.
Houston 3s Khang, Harvey, Jeaux, Turtler, Crow, David Wow, even though we were rusty, you guys got some good upsets. Khang should seriously consider going to Evolution to wreck house on unsuspecting fools. Your Alex is no joke. Harvey is always a threat in 3s. Your gameplay is so technical its difficult to play against you. Turtler, Crow, and David, great placings and finishes. Sorry for my disappointing placing, Combofiend and Eddie Lee owned my rusty Makoto. Jeaux, back to the drawing board.
Houston CvS2: WOWOWOW! Talk about crazy upsets and matches. Brian, David, Martin, Crow, Ashley, Rudy, Andres, Khang, etc etc! We proved that Houston means business when it comes to CvS2. If half of the unknown players goes to Evolution, we would seriously wreck house. Good games!
Houston GGXX: David, Genius, Kensou, Martin, Harold, Jimmy, Darrell, Jake, Andrew, Alex, Maniak, Mike, Jan Michael, Vinny, Vanessa, ETC ETC. Our player base is by far the best in the nation. We might not have the most players, but we do have the best quality of players. Its great that there are grudges and rivalries amongst everyone, because it makes everyone try to get better. All that shiet talking really does pay off in the end.
Houston MvC2: I didnt get to follow you guys as much as I wanted to, but from the results, Houston did extremely well. From the top players, Houston has the potential to become a major city to be feared in the MvC2 community. Keep the exciting games going, and were gonna upset lots of people when Evolution comes around.
K-Step Mike Ochoa: Always a great laugh when you come into town. Next time, I think we need to setup a stage for you to bust jokes on people.
Mopreme: I know I always learn a lot whenever youre in town, and I bet everyone who plays you does as well. Thanks for all the great games.
Hsien: For not playing since Evolution last year, you still have all your shiet together. Impressive games all weekend. Hopefully you will come out and play more often.
Tony BoA_gook: You damn Viet! For everyone who doesnt know, Tony suckered me in that team tournament, so it doesnt count! Always a blast having you around. You know you want to move down to Houston to be closer to me! Commie Power!
Logan Amodf Sharp: Oh the joys we had all weekend. I want that toy so I can summon the White Tigerzord as well.
Ryan Fubarduck: A threat in every game you play. Its still crazy that you play so well with Zappa. Good stuff all weekend.
Dr.Deelite: Watching you play MvC2 is comedy gold. Talking about FFXI all weekend is not! FFXI talk is banned from my house forever.
Cylus: Same with you, Leave the FFXI talk at the door.
Adam Kamui: If you played the way you did at my house during the team tournament, we would have won it all! Kamui is still a beast!

I definitely had a good time…I haven’t played games seriously in a loooong time, well over a year, and I wouldn’t even go to these things or care, but so many people are my friends now, I just go to hang out. But TS4 was so awesome, I wanna play again now. So, fuck all of you for that.

This was the pimpest tourny ever! Too bad I got eliminated early for all the games =. Big ups to all who made it happen and cmutt for have such a great arcade. Cole, you have to be one of the coolest people I’ve met, practice those Vice set-ups! Eddie Lee has the most turtlely I’ve ever played Vega in Super turbo. Stargate owns me for free!
