o yeah now that i finally got some sleep -
ts5 = too fucking sick, even though it was on console haha. day 1 and 2 were hella bomb, day 3 was kinda like bleh, not much hype because everyone seemed to play hella sloppy, maybe cause its on console, but thats cool cause the tournament was great aside from that, and the sunday night antics going from room to room were just too godlike, i’m still recovering from that shit.
heres my highlights for every game -
CFJ - OMG, I don’t think anyone watched or recorded this tourney at the end, save for myself, Keith, and the korean translator girl, who was recording on her camera. To sum it up, OTK and Kindebu are hella sick in this game, Ricky was the one that did the best out of USA (beating Kindevu and beating BAS twice,) but for the most part, Japan is hella sick in this game. otaku has some crazy crazy kenji setups with the cannon…and why the fuck is urien so cheap in this game? Urien headbutts against Kenji = hella safe, you can spaz it all day off UOH…his tackle is also pretty safe too…the japanese ALMOST got me to respect this game, ALMOST, after seeing high level play for the first time…but yeah, everyone pretty much admits it sucks.
KOF2k2 tourney was tight even though there was 9 people, level of comp was pretty good. K-Force beat us in some close matches except for at the end, they are pretty good, but like I said we’re low tier at Chinatown Fair and we pretty much get mopped up by the fobs in every game, if you guys ever come here I think the top players would give you a run for your money. GG guys and I’ll see you at evo, oh yeah Oscar you forgot to give me that dvd 
ST tourney was hella good too, with Justin first beating Cole 3-2 then Cole pulling out the old parlor tricks that Justin has never seen before to win in 2 sets.
A3 tourney made the game look hella dumb, hehe. All the top USA players were rusty as fuck, even BAS was dropping hella customs all the time. Kindevu = too sick, although he makes the game look hella dumb with crazy cc infinites with a ton of chars.
cvs2 tourney was like, some of the worst final 8 matches I have ever seen in my life…everyone missing hella shit that day. Of course, the best match of the tourney was BKT AKA Buktizzle aka Champbell vs the one and only OTK, that match was too sick, of course it takes a legend to beat a legend, hehe. But then of course he couldnt land his combos against Combofiend the match right after that, but whatever. Ricky looked hella rusty too, dropping customs left and right at crucial points i think he dropped like 6 a-blanka jump fierce customs after rc electricity. CF seemed on point that day more than anyone since he was connecting more stuff than anyone else. I didn’t do good in my final match vs BAS, but I was happy enough to get top 8, and I dunno what Justin is doing picking P-Groove, but it’s cool. A lot of the top players dont seem to play this game anymore.
Hotel CvS2 action was sick, with us all hella drunk, popoblo sober as fuck recording shit, and OTK getting ALL CRAZY with his K-Groove, he was really feeling himself after the tourney, what a fucking beast. Kindevu = Japanese Justin Wong, he plays to win in every game, so noone is on his dick, but his execution is godlike and he knows all the cheap shit in every game. BAS wasnt on top of his game all weekend, he looked pretty weak, but i know he doesnt like console.
3s was pretty bland, didnt see anything too out of the ordinary, and everyone looked rusty. Justin and Ricky running through everyone and Fubar held it down, especially in the SBO qualifier tourney, even though he lost.
GGXX looked kinda bleh too with Kindevu running through everyone for free, and Martin somehow getting 3rd, wtf? its all crazy, almost beat BAS, hahaha.
Marvel was boring because Justin didnt have a good finals with Sanford…but the final 8 was entertaining to watch, and I know some people definetely want revenge, so ECC mvc2 should be fucking sick this year.
Even though the sunday tournaments didnt have any excitement (especially when Pyro won,) the Sunday partying was too much afterwards
Aside from all that, it was a great tournament…props to all of TX, and I’m just gonna write up my shoutouts now.

Thanks to cmutt also for being very hospitable and friendly the whole weekend. OMG, “The Gate” is the fucking shit, like I said, it’s straight out of Fight Club or some shit, haha. easily one of the best “arcades” in the usa, hehe, i didn’t want to leave that place on thurs

popoblo, nice seeing you again, and you were cool, and you got alot better too, just work on your footsies man, but i dont see how that can be done with absolutely no comp at all, but whatever.
Buktooth, it seems like I couldnt beat the legend, Champbell aka BKT himself this time, but what can i expect, you were just feeling yourself the whole weekend, beating scrub SRK’s hero Otaku. haha, good games
