I agree with you that mirror matches don’t determine who the best person is with that character.
I remember when Valle was a guest on Gootecks podcast, he said that when he went to the first SBO he was using a character he did not know the matchups as well as Watson(I think) did but how he had beat him in a head to head match. Says he got destroyed by the Japanese b/c he did not know all the matchups.

Since I’m not sure on how to reach fubarduck reliably, I am relinquishing my spot from the TX team due to work and money complications. So if fubarduck reads this, I’m not going to be able to be on TX’s team for the 5 on 5, as I can’t go to Evo. This is Adeel btw.

If less than 5 people show up for any reason when the event is beginning, I will take the final spot to even out the number of players.
rudy (sin-x) says he will not be going due to lack of funds. he does not have a cell but the most reliable way to reach him is just pm or i can ask to put his house phone.
Keep in mind also, that I will be updating this thread as soon as I get into vegas, Thursday morning, with the hotal room number. 730pm

This is what we’ve got going now. If any of those 5 are unable to attend, I will take the next spot, and will choose another player if we don’t have 5 people for any reason after that.
I think now would be a good time to tell you that OneThreeFour only went in to play the tournament and he isn’t going to Evo, just to save you some trouble.
LoL @ TX Reps, Ryan why not just hold a small gaming session on thursday before the qualifier and just determine who you feel should be on the team?
