Also on a serious note, *one of our serious GG players, and friend, Ronald Rios(DemonGodCrush) lost his brother and home in a housefire yesterday morning. It was caused by a shortage in a power strip connected to a heater. There was no working smoke detector in the house and safety bars on the windows preventing his brother from escaping and a friend from pulling him out. Ron was at work when this happened.
Many of you prob don’t know him because he hasn’t been playing games or traveling much in the past two years. But please, keep him in your prayers. This is a devastating event and a truly horrible thing to have happened to one of the nicest guys I know. I really, really fucking hate it that this happened to him. So again, please just say a prayer for him if you believe in that, send condolences, or if you are able to help in any way we would sincerely appreciate it and are trying to contact him. The blaze likely took everything, along with his brother. I can’t imagine how he’s feeling but it’s gonna be hard to find words to say to him. Very, very, unfortunate.

Split the combo into two parts. do the cr lp cr lp cr lk part numerous times until it becomes second nature. Then work on the link into headbutt with cr. lk. After that try and put it all together and see how it comes together.
Plinking isn’t necessary with that combo. As someone who was and still is new to Rog, the combo just takes a little time and practice. Once you begin hitting the 2 lp’s, just make sure you are holding downback to charge the headbutt. I know that sounds so so so obvious but when I was learning that combo, I always was in such a rush to hit headbutt. Also once you hit the cr lk you have to instantaneously hit the headbutt motion. When I was learning the combo that was the tricky part of the whole thing. It almost seems as if there was a slight delay between me hitting the headbutt motion and the actual headbutt coming out, but I’m sure that can be attributed to lag in my T.V. And a lagless tv always help lol.
But yeah when I was learning Rog I had the same trouble as I never played charged characters so the concept of holding downback while hitting other buttons for a charge felt very foreign. Its really simple man and I’m no combo master by any means (Cylus has insane combos with Rog) so if I can do it, anyone can.

Surely. What you need to do is figure out what combo you want to do before that. Or, if you play like a lot of Ryu’s, just wakeup with a DP and burn your meter. You have a decent chance of getting the SRK to hit.
Once you mash out your DP, just hold MP+MK and dash forward. During the dash animation you need to release MP+MK and input a double quarter circle forward motion followed by either PPP button or all 3 punches at the same time.
The best way to practice this is to practice doing the SRK into FADC over and over. Once you have that down practice doing dash->ultra. Then once you have both of those, start putting them together. In no time you should have this simple yet very effective combo down.
I had a hard time with that combo real talk because I wasn’t used to charge characters. I’m fine with it now of course but I struggled so, hey I thought someone was in need out there like I was. shrug
