I’m leaning towards it being that you ddont have to buy AE and you can play AE players from Super accounts over the internet. The ability to select Super or AE is a very welcome one though, I’m surprised someone at capcom didn’t make that suggestion.
Now comes the question of will tournament organizers allow for ad-hoc networks of Super and AE setups that have the ability to matchmake each other. I think it’s an amazing idea personally.
If people want to play using Super, you just use the super setup and vice versa.
If one person wants AE and another Super, two setups are used.
The only real problem is that you almost need to double your setups to get things running smoothly, Deleting AE data really isn’t a problem since you can just download it right back.
I’m pretty sure they mean that you can choose either the AE or Super versions of a character. I can’t imagine they would add it for online and nothing else. If it were online only, everyone will just bitch, complain, switch to Yun and play the AE versions and I don’t think it would be a big deal. Tournaments are already too much of a hassle to try to please everyone with some kind of crazy, some consoles are Super, some AE set-up.
So I just got a check in the mail from the Hilton. Everything that was in my bag that was lost at final round has been compensated for. That definitely made my week better.
Okay, Squab just let me know that the MvC3 ranbat tomorrow will be a double-elimination tourney.
I remember last time that those who went out early didn’t have anything to do for the rest of the night. This bugged me a great deal, because I wouldn’t drive an hour and a half just to sit around and do nothing if I get knocked out early, and I don’t expect anyone else to do the same.
So, I’m dedicating my setup for the sole use of MvC3 casuals for people who are not participating in the ranbat or who get knocked out. This ensures that everyone will have something to do.
Rules for tomorrow night’s MvC3 casuals setup:
People who are not participating in the ranbat, or for people who are knocked out ONLY.
Sets will consist of the best 2/3 matches
Winner stays, loser gets up.
If you win two sets, you get up (ie: both players get up)
If you’re waiting in line and you leave for any reason, you forfeit your spot and go to the back of the line when/if you come back.
No money matches. They take too long.
No match requests. We need to keep the rotation going so everyone who wants to play has a chance to play.
I think this is fair for everyone, but I do acknowledge that it will slow down the ranbat so again, PLEASE BRING A SETUP IF YOU CAN!
still living in your one day of glory in which you beat me using your main vs my 3 day old Ibuki?
lets just check the real stats k? SRKFADC tournament/ranbat record vs GDBell is undefeated you havent beat me once when it mattered. so until you do good sir just sit in the corner over there mumbling to yourself “5-1” repeatedly ok
We’ll do AE which means less work for me (yay) and Chris needs to update his posts with it if he can, but yeah, AE all the way, not Super that weekend.
