The game isn’t even out yet and guys are demoing combos that are 40 seconds long … not my cup of tea
From what I read its something along the lines of they know infinites are in the game but rather than have hit-stun decay or whatever they give you a burst mechanic that you can use whenever. So each player has a resource to use that can be baited adding some depth to it. The system sounds fine and I dont really mind super long combos, as long as the exec barrier isn’t but so high. I just can’t see how the visuals are helping this game at all. I imagine a large portion of people who play FGs are turned off by it.

@MemphisPlayers: Yes, the Marvel Ranbats are starting this week. If you didn’t know, then you were under a rock or something the past two weeks with people whining to me about it (COUGH JAS) :lol:… Sooo, yes they will start this week.
The ranbats will be scheduled as follows: 2nd week of each month - Marvel; last week of each month - SSF4.
Note: Please don’t be a douche and only play one of them, try to support both. Just sayin’.

Also, there was talk about charging $5 for the full ranbat season but, I don’t think people will do it. If someone wants to convince everyone that $1 per ranbat is cheap, by all means go for it, I’ve tried. But if no one wants to contribute because it’s too expensive, then don’t bitch about there not being a prize fund. /real talk

This should be well known but I dont mind paying in to the ranbat. Prize money at the end can pay out to the long term winners or be used for more set ups since there is a shortage. Especially if the oxford crew cant make it to a fight night. So +1 for paying into the ranbat.

Starts @ :06, ends @ :49. No way I’m playing a game and watching a 43 second combo happen to me or even bothering to execute something like that. Hell a lot of Marvel matches can end faster than that. It’s just not my thing.

Yeah and that’s pre release stuff. I’m far from interested. I still can’t even follow what happened and I think it took 7 bars to do the combo…
