Hiryu I have no hard feelings my friend. However I will say that I am a firm believer that something that someone says when they are angry or drunk is truly how that person feels. Ok Jan, you got me! I didn’t land a single machine gun blow after your whack Blanka balls…I blow. But lets also take into consideration that Dudley is the first non-shoto I have played in any street fighter, I haven’t played the game in two weeks, and when we were playing I was focused more on trying to get in and stay in to start Dudley’s insane mixup game. I did the same thing with Lycan and Cylus in casuals. I worked on what I thought was my biggest weakness with him which is consistently pulling off his BnBs. I could not land standing roundhouse xx machine gun blow last night to safe my life…so I kept trying it. And would do it again need be.
As for my “proclamations” I assume you are referring to my facebook statuses. In that regard, I can and will continue to talk about leveling up and going to the lab all I want. Because most of the time it is true. If you noticed, over the past week and half- two weeks I haven’t mentioned it because I must admit I haven’t hit the lab until last night. Been straight mealin on some GTA 4. But to say Hiryu is taking more steps to consistently get better because I can’t make it to fight nights and he can is inaccurate. I do what I can by watching videos of Dudley players, zoning and spacing, and basic techniques in Street Fighter 4. Woostick suggested that I focus on footsies. What do I do? Go and print off the footsie handbook and try and apply what I am reading to my game. I even made a vow to ask more questions and talk less here on the forums and IMO have been successful in doing so until last night. So I believe that I am making a conscious effort to become better at this game. I don’t take the mentality of some of the other losers here on this forum and say “well these guys have a leg up on me so whatever, screw trying to get better! Let me take my L’s and keep it moving”…NO!!! I take the approach of “hey I’m going to give my all in this match. I believe I can win this!” and that is what is going through my head when I sit down and play anyone!!! I honestly believe I will one day win a Memphis tourney, and will place top 16 at a major…one day. May not be any day soon, but I refuse to take on a losers mentality because i can’t consistently beat people right now and just “play for fun”. Bogus!

Jan we still cool. I have no hard feelings and I respect the fact that you are standing up for Hiryu. I wasn’t trying to be a complete douche to Hiryu…I was just speaking it how I saw it. I was honestly shocked at the behavior so I called him out on it. I enjoy playing against your Honda and Blanka and I desire to be more competitive when we play. That is what I mean when I say “I’m coming for you” or “your days are numbered”. It keeps me motivated. However, I will leave you with this…do not…and I reapeat DO NOT EVER LET ME GET TO POINT WHERE I AM CONSISTENTLY BEATING YOU!!! If so, I promise you will not hear the end of it. So keep your game tight and that is all I am going to say on the matter.
Wow what a sad sack of a post this is. Man I had a dissertation ready to rip this post to pieces but it is so worthless, Im not even going to bother! Ignore button?? Wow arent you a big boy. So after a whole day of “speaking it real” Im done. Im still going to keep my vow of speaking less and asking more, however no more holding my tongue. I honestly think people here in Memphis need to grow a pair of balls and lose their vagina!!! You have to be so sensitive around some of you guys and it is hard to imagine that some of you are near or already past the 30 year old mark!!! Some of you act worst than 16 year-old catholic school girls when it comes to your feelings!!! And as far as this loser mentality goes…I was told by certain people that the mentality here is what hurts the scene and it is clear as day now. I know i could do more on my part to make this scene better but one thing you will never see me do, and that is take on a losers mentality!

I’m also going to a wedding on friday night…with kegs and lots booze at the reception so you know how that could go.

Been reading the post for a while and want to comment on sooooo much stuff but I got a limited time because I’m about to go out with my girlfriend (staying in Knoxville until Sunday instead of going back today).
So massive shoutout to Crystal and Josh who invited me over for an offline session :-). Crystal picked me up and took me back from UT campus so I had to make sure I gave major thanks for that. Also another shoutout to their cat who liked me and normally doesn’t like strangers (forgot her name, don’t snitch on me :p).
Josh won about 60 % of our games. Don’t take him for no joke. He is coming to take some fight money on Saturday in Nashville. That’s all I’m gonna say on that. The reactions next week should be interesting.
I’m really glad the Wednesday Ranbat’s went well. Wish I could be there but g/f always will trump SF. I will certainly be there next week (kinda hilarious Woot hasn’t been there either since we went 1st and 2nd some weeks ago).
I’ll add more when I get a chance. I’m in between getting ready for a midnight date and watching the NBA Finals. Refs are cheating for LA

Jan: We def need to try and get the non travelers to come out to Southaven. I will post something about it on TZ and try to call Lil Majin tomorrow to see if we can coordinate. No need to have it split if we can avoid it. Also you go to more weddings than any other person I have ever known. Enjoy though.
