I normally wear goggles when I’m tinning wires, but in this case I blame the jackass who was pestering me at the time I burned it. He was irritating me to the point where I’d taken them off to look at him more clearly when I was trying to explain why his stick wasn’t ready yet. I was so pissed that I’d forgotten to put them back on when I went back to work. He didn’t even seem to care that I burned my eye; he just wanted his stick finished because he was tired and ready to go. It may have been that he didn’t speak very good English, because when I was asking him to go get some gauze he didn’t seem to have any idea what I was talking about. He just kept pointing at his stick and wanting to know when it was finished.

My first video game tournament I attended was a Pokemon Red/Blue tournament way back when it was first released. I was too poor for fancy GBC’s, but I still rocked the ancient, giant grey GB. I had to ask the TO for the classic link cable, which was kind of embarrassing since it halted progress while they searched for one. Anyway, I beat several dudes that were three times my age and felt like a boss.
One of my last matches was against a blind kid. He had memorized all 150 pokemon’s cries, so he could tell what he was up against. On top of that, he memorized his moveset order so that he would choose the right moves. Sadly, and I will forever feel bad for this, I destroyed him. The tournament was split up into three divisions, with the highest division being lv.50-99 pokemon. All of his were mid-50’s, while mine were 99.
And just a heads up, if you reserve from GStop you get Eddie. Yep. A whole full character. God, I hate these competitive store pre-orders lol. But I’m happy with the design, even though he looks like a Sims 3 character. The actual model looks better than that tired artwork. If he still has classic personality and the sig tricks then we’re all good. But they got Elise looking like Sonya Blade now for some reason. It’s creepy. She wasn’t quite like this in earlier renders. I know they’ve gotten older and shit, but she’s not a bombshell anymore. She’s a soccer mom(which can be alright too. mmmm milfs).
This guy has some pretty scrumptious technology. Empty jump->meaty paw. Thing is, SNES had input lag on the claw swipes. You can’t see it, but it was there. Trust me, IT WAS THERE. That’s why competitive standard is Genesis. But this guy had the right idea. Solid fundamentals.

I rock with Nate on the SSX circuit. I hope they bring back the EA Radio Big DJ more than anything.
I don’t know what it is but SSX is the comfort food of video games. You can just hop on and just do whatever down the entire mountain. It’s relaxing for some reason and I always come back to it. I actually feel like I’m on the mountain when I play that game.
Dogg I would beat the brakes off that Elise. She can be SSX’s C. Viper. And I’d be staring at dat ass the whole time she’s barreling down a mountain. Unfortunately, unless they release her as DLC, the only ass I’ll be able to stare at is Eddie’s. I used origin when I was playing the BF3 beta and that shit is terrible. Fuck EA trying to reinvent the wheel that steam has already damn near perfected.
All good though. Eddie is my dude. If they got Kaori and Allegra we in there like swimwear.
