Tennessee Thread - Day 1 Ni**a-Ology

This is that damn game that was hooked up to an actual cabinet at EVO 2010. I remember watching it and thinking it was some obscure SNK game based on Once Upon a Time In China.

That game was on the roster at the Mystery Game tournament at ARK4! XD

I THINK there’s still a cab for it in a bowling alley here in Clarksville. Its been a long time since I’ve been in that bowling alley though so I dont know for sure. I remember seeing it years ago and thinking how the sprites looked very CPS2 style like the alpha and vs games and then being surprised that it wasnt made by Capcom.

Real talk, if I was physically able to use Zero, I’d abuse that stuff as much as possible. He has the safest strings, solid lockdown, decent zoning, nearly impossible to block mixups, and can break 1mil with just 1 assist and 1 meter. Why he’s not seeing much tournament play is beyond me.

Capcom is fuckin’ trolling with with this Marvel shit. Glad I don’t play that junk. If I did, my team is dumb anyway and all godlike, and they refuse to nerf Wesker and Dormammu. Even though 2012 had a bunch of changes people don’t agree with, it still feels like AE with a more manageable top tier and more rush down (Viper and Rufus) than SSF4. I’m glad they never just threw around random patches for SF4. Hell, they even location tested 2012. Lots of Marvel players do literally nothing but bitch about their characters, or at the very least try to defend their god characters. " No, no. Wesker does take skill. " Too bad Capcom listens to those idiots.

Go play KOF. That game fucking rules. You don’t know frustration until you play that shit, but it is worth it. It is pretty much perfect, except for Shen. I can’t even go to the bathroom at 4 in the morning without expecting him to come rush punch supering down the hallway at any second. Also, shortcuts are pretty annoying at times with how fast that game is.

It is also the best looking fighter out, if that matters to you. Also, you start cursing at the game in Spanish. True story.

Whenever I have a motion that I’m having trouble with the guys at the #snkplaymore irc channel on efnet usually gave me some advice or alternate way of handling things. There’s probably more different ways of handling the inputs than you think since 1 motion can be used to execute multiple moves.

Good job, SRK. Yea, I think I’ll just leave those there.

There are all sorts of little subtle tricks within the execution of XIII, but I just can’t figure out how to do a super fast QCF B, QCF A without getting DP or super like, 50% of the time. The main problem is just HCB>F. If I don’t do it crazy perfect and slow, it is a DP almost always.

For the HCB, F + attack moves I found the best execution tip for me is to just roll the stick f, d/f, d, d/b, b, u/b, u, u/f + attack. Before the jump starts. This has those kinds of moves to like 95% accuracy for me. I hardly ever get DPs this way. Hope it helps

What I can never do is like cA, cA HCB*2 +A shit. I never get the super I get nothing or I get a move that is just HCB + attack.

Hey Joker, I’m going to read the Frank Miller Batman reboot. Do you have a boner for me right now?

Now that some mellow S#$%!!! Thanks need the mellow. 8)

About to jump on Kof on Live. Come join the bout. Who up for foot and fist disease radical from Kim, Hwu & Takuma.

I do. Always.

Well duders…got two flat tires. To anyone that may have already come out to GG I apologize. If the tow arrives and I can get to walmart to replace the tires before their Tire and Lube closes, I’ll still come by, just later. Otherwise i’ma miss out tonight :frowning:

Next time I’ll be up there is Friday unless anyone wants to meet up there sooner.

So some of you have been hearing me rant about a PSP game called Corpse Party. Well, it’s not only an amazing game, but it has a mindblowing soundtrack.

Seriously, shit like this inspires me to write. I can probably write twenty or thirty pages based off this song alone:

(ignore the fluffy header image and just listen to this song, it’s worth it)

Yeah I’ve been to Tequila country before, not sure if I’m going this time though. I honestly don’t recognize those places since I usually stay around Zapopan and Tlaquepaque (in the city). I have family from Zacatecas too, 2 of my cousins from my mom’s side and my aunt live there, haven’t been in a couple years though (family drama…basically my mom hates her sister and never wants to see her again…)

And yeah people are definitely in the Christmas mood, the pointed piñatas are everywhere.

Walmart can’t replace my tires tonight unfortunately. Jason if ppl are there with no one to play, friend my on the Game Galaxy acct and I’ll play peeps online once I’m home.

This might just be the best thing ever:

An example of what you can expect:

I have this itching suspicion that at least six TN members are going to have avatars with these images by tomorrow…

Recent stats concerning Wesker in SCR over the weekend. And no, it’s not “OMG, nerf him he’s OP.” It’s actually somewhat of the opposite.

“Wesker was the most hyped character coming into the tournament, finding a place on exactly half of the top 16 teams. However, he did not seem to make that much of a difference late in the bracket, the the Wesker teams did no better or worse than Wesker-less ones. Of the eight Weskers in the top 16, only four made Top8. Of those, only 2 made Top4, and of those two only one was in the finals. In other words, Wesker teams seemed to win about as often as Player 1 teams did. In fact, Wesker-less teams went 9-7 against Wesker teams on the final day after Justin won two in a row against MINE to take 1st in a grand final reset. Wesker as a character was lackluster as well: he got just 36 kills for 44 deaths. ‘Dark’ Wesker only showed his eyes three times all tournament and, while he never was killed, he only racked up 4 kills in total.”

Also, Dormammu was on one team in top 16. lol
