Tennessee - Super Tekken Justice 4: This-is-not-Jersey Negro Edition

i didnt know some of you guys name,so post it if you can…

–Richard— he always talks like that about me…except last night

If he is cool with playing with arcade sticks then he’s fine not bringing anything. If there’s a potential for him to be displeased with whatever setup is offered then he should bring his own for 360.

GGs to everyone at PP last night. 16 people coming out for Super was nice.

Hiryu: T Hawk huh…man we got to get you away from command grabbers

That’s wonderful of you to share that with us. I’m sure your boyfriend is happy.

lost my original post, here’s the tl:dr version:

God tier:
31 cent scoops
getting to PPG early for once and not feeling rushed
Ibuki

Not god tier:
Cammy
Hakan ()

But more importantly: HAPPY BIRTHDAY CYLUS!!! BIG 3-0!!!:party::party:

man whythefukami sooooo salty???

arrrrgghh!!!

Learning Guy is driving me insane…so much harder than learning Chun Li:

  1. Trying to learn the proper spacing for that elbow drop special he has. If done to close, peeps will mash throw on block to scoop up your c.lk, c.jab after you land.
  2. Hazanto…great against shoto fireball zoning but suuuucks otherwise. The strong and fierce ones can be jabbed out of, grabbed out of, etc…
  3. I need to work on my hit confirm skills to play this character effectively…

I hate endless battles…“oh great, I lost so now I have to watch 5 more matches before I get to play”…

I love endless battles, when I lose i pull up my laptop and work until my turn. It’s great!

z

Theres something about Hakans Fp …remember 3rd strike Chun Li?

some
Of his normals hit through specialz when oiled up.
I hit Bison out of Phyco crush with that FP when in training mode…

I cant put my fingerr on it but something tells me hes not low tier at all

Hell you think thats frustrating. Play Guy against a good Guile or grappler. So far those matches have been a nightmare. As for Hazanto its safe against most things, the jab version anyway. Only 2 frame reversals get it hence the issues with grapplers.

And he can also normal cancel out of dashes when oiled up, which I think is pretty important in this game. But something about him just feels off. I think I’ll reserve judgement on him until I see some high-level play. I’m told Daigo did well with him, but he’d do well with a piece of shit on a stick. I’d like to see how the game changes over the next few months.

Read this and then read it ten more times. Memphis players read it ten more times again. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve gotten free damage just because someone wouldn’t block and were trying to mash something out during wakeup or even simple block strings.

I’m the guy playing T. Hawk in this video

The name’s Andrew. Andrew S. is cool since there are always other Andrews around.

Hello all,

Long time no see.

Putting up a notice to all people in the Knoxville area: A gathering of players will be held tomorrow night around 7 PM or so. Games will likely vary between all sorts of fighters but there will be at least two setups for 360 SSF4 the entire night. If you are interested, PM me and I’ll send the location to you.

BTW, are you guys doing Endless Battle for SSF4? I’ve been getting some really shitty connections when I try to play

Read it the first day man. Relax. We actually know this. But you know it’s a new game right? So peeps are gonna try shit. Especially on new characters. It’s called learning what works and what doesn’t.

I know you mean well, Cylus. Just remember everything is in a state of flux right now. I know that mashing out on wakeup is a bad idea, but what the hell, it’s casuals with new characters, and I like testing shit out.

“Ok, that got stuffed.”
“That gets stuffed too.”
“Holy shit that works? Nice! (commits to memory)”

He plays on a fight stick so I am sure he will want to bring his own. Just wanted to make sure that their setups allowed that. Thanks!

This isn’t concerning Super or even last night. This is just for SF in general. People are getting better at it but it still needs to be emphasized and repeated that blocking is one of the most important, if not the most important skill in fighting games.

Oh I agree. In general it is highly underrated and you are correct in that it is an integral part of your game.

Psst… Happy Birthday, Cylus!

Yes, I’m going to keep mentioning this.

“Blocking is for scrubs, heh!”

loses every round ever

“WHY DO I KEEP LOSING GRAAAAHHHHH”

The newbie forum is full of this right now. “I literally lose control of my bodily functions and have an aneurysm every time I lose, should I seek professional help?”

Yeah the next like week or two are gonna be filled with goofy matches cause people are trying new stuff. Good times!

Oh, that’s right. I did say it last night, but I’ll say it again.

Happy Birthday, Cylus! :woot::party: Welcome to the club.

At least the online is less fierce-shoryuken-y for having just come out. I only fought one flowchart Ken out of 25 matches! Amazing. Most people playing vanilla characters knew mostly what they were doing. Just not against T. Hawk.
