Such a pain in the ass to mod. I’m just going to strip the guts and use the case for something else. Maybe put a chimp in it.
I liked the EX2. It was my first stick and I thought it was well worth the cheap cost. You got an XBOX 360 specific stick that could also work on PC for GGPO plus a mic hook up. The parts were decent and I never had it break on me. Although it is on the smaller size it’s a nice little beginner’s stick for sure. I don’ know how easy it is to mod however.
ggs to everyone at the arcade,i FINALLY landed Honda’s Orochi Breaker today, thats a accomplishment and i deserve a damn medal. I also learned that even if do a Focus Attack > Honda Ultra 2,the damn thing still misses. I was pissed when it happen 3-4 times.

It was my first stick too, but it’s a royal pain in the ass to mod. To put decent buttons in it you have to desolder the button connectors from the pcb, dremel out some tabs that are on the button holes, then put the new buttons in and solder them back to the board. With the SE all you have to do is disconnect the old buttons, pop them out, and then wedge in some Sanwa OSBF-30 buttons. The stick is just as easy to replace on an SE. The EX2? Gotta desolder more wires…
I just said fuck it and removed everything. Suddenly I like this thing a lot more now. Might drill out some 25mm holes, put a Seimitsu stick in it, put in some OSBF-30 buttons, and then toss in a chimp with a hacked MadCatz pad.
Only three more days until the official release of the most anticipated game of 2010, folks.

yeah those matches were really awesome. after last night, im so pumped about tekken. i don’t know what it was, but something just started clicking last night. well at least until about midnight, then i was exhausted. but def great games man, now that i finished editing, i should be free to play alot more now. and now im really gonna focus on throw breaks, now that im finally seeing and punishing lows.
on a side note, who all here is going to mtac?
The Hori EX2 is a piece of garbage. It’s effectively fisher price my first arcade stick and is so light and shitty that it’s impossible to take seriously.

Nope, it’s got a square gate.
It’s also got a crappy stick and stiff buttons. It works in a pinch but I wouldn’t use the thing in a tournament. It’s only worth the case it comes in, which I might add I’ll like very much if I can pull off what I’m wanting to do with it.
