I just wanted to say what I thought of the game today. Good games to everybody at GG and big thanks to Patrick for the surprise ride to GG btw.
Basically I think the game feels better overall. From what I got to face I felt Richard had a strong showing with Guy. Guy is looking like he will definitely be a good character. I’ll group Ibuki in with Guy as well since she is going to be nuts. I had a hard time keeping up at first with Chris Nelson. She has great mixup and that Ultra she has is amazing.
Max’s Ken looked great and his U2 not only looks great but seems very useful. With Makoto I wasn’t very impressed with what she had to offer. I know everything hasn’t been figured out yet but her along with Dudley didn’t seem all as hyped as I thought they would be. I’m sure once the game gets played enough this will change they are already great characters. I wasn’t too impressed with Juri as well but I didn’t really see anybody playing her well enough yet.
Dee Jay looks solid but Guile is better though IMO. Cody was amazing, I swear you can just press buttons and you win matches, I’ll definitely be picking him up as my alternate. Loving the knife and the tornados, that bad spray move I was saying looks very useful so watch out if some shennanigans come out of that. Cammy looked the same to me and Sagat doesn’t look to be going anywhere.
Lastly, Guile felt top notch. I don’t know the specifics of what they did to him but he’s top ten no doubt. His moves seemed to flow better together and i think they did buff charge times but just slightly. I still need to work on SH setups but it was still a great ultra. I’m taking into account that people are just learning some things but those were my overall thoughts on what I saw.
i feel like im the only one that hasnt played SUPER. =( from what im reading on the thread, it sounds like a great game
i guess ill wait for the midnight release on tues.
We got 2 setups, if someone wants to bring a 3rd xbox, I don’t have a problem with that, just cuts down on wait times. I imagine a bunch of people will be in and out of the arcade all day. I look forward to seeing you guys up at GG.
@joker the reason im asking for the videos just to see how he plays with guile, his an intersecting player to watch
is guile going to be his character of choice for SUPER?
and the Double K.O is being talk about all over the forums.
