Dammit I was hoping to get in before J Willy Zangief Devil’s Advocate post, but I was so damn tired.
But yeah I respect Gief and Gief players. They put the work in. To me THAT’S what makes him so scary. The Bison vs. Gief match is distilled into like, pure footsies by Bison that have to be executed perfectly. Can’t jump, can’t get stupid with scissor pressure, and if he gets a knockdown wen Bison has no meter (which he will), your life sucks. Zangief is GREAT, just like Bison is GREAT. Also that particular Gief player was easily the best I’ve seen in person. Flawless execution, reactions, footsies/spacing, setups, great reads. Kinect actually did very well against him that first game.
Plus as many people that say fuck Bison on a daily basis, we should be allowed to say fuck a character erry once in a while (that’s me playing Devil’s Advocate 
- you know I ultimately don’t care). Now if it was a Rufus (YES RUFUS), Yun, Sagat, Abel, Fei, Ryu player complaining…
Fuck Gief.
And yes, I am still in Memphis. Gotta wash my teeth and brush my ass and we’ll be in there.
Have not bought any Transformers games in a while, but this one has peaked my interest.

As much as Gief can be gay, he really is kinda hard to be very top level with. That Gief on stream was good, but not nearly close to as good as Snake Eyes and Flash. Flash Metroid may be kind of a gay, but his Gief is by far the best Ive ever seen. I was hanging out with peeps in a money match room at SB and Mike Weng tried to MM Flash and played Sagat vs. Flash’s Gief. I’m pretty sure he didn’t take a round in the entire ft3 or ft5 at all. He looked like a damn child.
I really do think Bison vs Gief is hard for Bison though. Maybe still 5-5, but just tough. Can’t make a mistake at all. I personally like fighting Gief with any Ryu or Akuma It is one of like 3 match-ups I can say I truly know. Akuma Gief swings my way, obviously, but you can still lose that shit. Ryu vs Gief is really fun though. Very tough for both players.
Also, fuck Rufus players. They don’t have a single thing to complain about ever.
Ok, I haven’t commented on this since you’ve brought it up, but I played the crap out of Gamecube game. After watching the first video in your post, it made me want to give it a try. Gameflying that game instantly.
SC5 is so close though. I can taste it.

My only issue with him is his godly vitality bar and his throw range. That is why I say it.
Next patch he has viper health and throw range has been reduced to normal grab range. Now you guys can go complain about Bison again, Capcom has restored order in the universe.
I still hate Bison, not as much lately since i switched characters but i still hate him.

Seriously, I understand people bitching about Gief and all that noise, hell I do it with every character in the game, and I know that once he gets on you not only is he good he is just terrifying but people need to realize that he is pretty hard to play. For that matter Bison I would say is probably a bit in Gief’s favor just because when he gets a knock down if Bison has no meter it can be hard (not impossible though, one right teleport and the wrong Gief reaction means your safe) but it is more or less a matter or who gets the life lead and has to take the risk in that match and even though Gief has very good normals and footsie game you’re an idiot if you don’t think Bison’s is just as good.
I’m bout to adopt “All fucks left behind” as a life motto. Life’s bullshit sometimes.
