@ Sev: You should drop Vanessa for Mary and run Team Grappler Whores.
@ Abe: Lol…stop reading so much and just play these damn games. Mitsu lost stances but gained a huge damage buff. With standard Mitsu wall juice and ringouts still intact. So while he doesnt dance around as much anymore but he’s a dryer, yet more powerful character now. Who’s really going to complain in the long run? Terrance(Big Majin) was bitching for months. Played him last night. Got raped like always but matches ended way more quickly. You can’t even argue that type of shit w/o getting slapped. He prob still wants some of his old gimmicks back but he now sees how beastly dude is in return.
Just play who y’all like dammit! Ots some people who never played SC before disgusted that Ivy lost stances. Umm…how does this really affect them again? If you’re a noob then this is in your favor by simplifying her so you wont have to worry about all the past technicalities. Tiering, etc. comes later but if you’re never going to a tourney then…huh? Fuck with her now, worry about other specifics later.
Very true when you put it that way, heh. I concede to you.
Having said that, I kinda hype myself up for games/characters by reading about them. What can they do? What’s this move for? Hey that sounds cooI wanna try that, etc. I tend to read everything I can get my hands on about a new character if I’m considering picking them up.
Speaking of shit going out, my lk button on my TE is acting spotty, I may have to replace it soon. Not bad though considering I’ve had the stick since vanilla SF4.
@FlyMike: Dude Relic stance was cool as fuck! I whored that stance out like there was no tomorrow, I loved having an Iaido quickdraw stance. I know it doesn’t matter long run, but goddamn that stance was badass from a style/aesthetics standpoint.
@ Richard: Just depends on what your character benefits from or utilizes more. Like Pat, that fag combos easily into both. Also if you got enough stocks you can link some EX moves into supers though it’d prob scale like hell.
Squabb,
shut that shit up! You have worked so much on your Xbox its not even funny!
I bought my shitbox back in November! It makes a fucking loud scratching noise now! Piece of Shit!
Edit: Bought my PS3 back in 08 I believe… Things been everywhere with discs in it and some more shit! Been dropped, kicked, knocked over! Thing still runs beautifully!
Depends on what you get more damage from and/or your safest options. As an example, I can get more damage from hcbB+G, 22B (Ex version), 66B than outright doing Astaroth’s critical edge. Test your critical edge and ex combos in training and see which is easier to land.
Right on, I’ve been messing with Ezio’s mixups and juggles, man is he dirty. He can do standing crossbow, cancel the end to a side roll and then do an immediate low shot too. lol he’s too fun
Ya I think I’m gonna start with Mitsu, only thing that sucks is that 8 way run gives you no indication of where to start or a top 10 moves or anything like Zaibatsu had for tekken. Anyone here play Mitsu at all and have some good launchers or good moves to use with him.
Well, the game is COMPLETELY brand new. There’s not going to be a lot of posted information until a few weeks pass, but 8WR will be your go-to place. Also, even though the old cast still has a lot of their old moves, the speed and frame advantage/disadvantage have been completely reworked. Astaroth gets punished for whiffing anything now, whereas in 4, he could guard after whiffing certain moves.
I’ve never opened my xbox, what are you talking about? I HAVE worked on my roommates old xbox, but never mine … As for scratching, pretty sure MOST of them do that too when reading disks.
Nope, just Nightmare and Astaroth. I fought a decent Ezio yesterday in ranked. WR (while rising, for those unaware)BB worked on me a few times. It’s fast, a mid, and does decent damage.
Just guard will be the best option if you can get it to work consistently. Guard impact isn’t that bad either, since it now has move active frames and stops ALL attacks.
