GG’s to SRKFADC, Woot, Maxninja and GeekTwist last night. I can’t believe I made 3rd with state of the art 1999 Mitsurugi technology. Stepkick shenanigans all day. Also beating that dude with a broken attack button was lol.
IMO I’m still on the fence about SCV, it was fun though, I wish I knew how to get my super to actually do the full animation.
The only way I will even begin to consider looking at that game is if Maxi is good. He is the only SC char I give a fucc about.
I have nothing against the game, I just know I won’t have time to pick it up now that I have this Kang UNLESS my boy is on point again. I heard they raped him in IV.
I wish you all could’ve seen my face when I saw that Astaroth can 4K4K or 4K-grab. That’s like, insta-gimmick shenanigans.
Every character will end up being “good,” some will just be easier to learn/use. I consider Maxi a hard character to learn due to stance changes and millions of moves. BUT, once you learn him, it’s mixups for days.
I’m assuming Pat or Nightmare, but I’ve barely even touched this game. Just mess around with them in training mode and see which one clicks first.
Ok new strategy…who is the easiest top tier character in SCV?
Shit Milln, if time allows and I can pull myself away fron Kang and AE long enough, I’ll get on that SCV with you. I MAKE NO PROMISES OF PICKING THE GAME UP, but I’ll dick around.
Soul Cal V tiers. Games been out for like three hours, man! But based on previous games, Ivy, Taki, Mitsurugi, Sophitia, Siegfried, Astaroth should all be in the top echelon.
I honestly can’t even begin to care about SCV. I would like to play it if Ivy is really good, which I hear she probably is. If so, I would like to learn to play it on a casual level and then be done with it.
And man I awn care! If niggas can post up talmbout Terry is low tier a week after the game comes out, I can ask who is top tier 6 hrs after this one does.
Oh yeahhh I remember Taki being stupid, and she hella thick…mmm…this pleases me.
Easiest execution and mixup for stupid damage goes to Aeon (Lizardman). Seriously, his BBB is retarded. 22K is fast low with knockdown. 66A stops sidestepping. And there you go, you just learned a character is SC5.
I mentioned the problems with PS3 ages before this was posted. I even was called names by lycan because of it, and to put more fuel on the fire, even “national players” to take wording from you such as Justin Wong know about this.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out there is delay. 2 frames is a lot, that’s what, 70 MS of delay added on? It’s pretty simple, you press a button once on one system and once on another, there is delay unless you are mashing and moving without spacing constantly.
You wonder why PS3 online is so ass. You can sure as hell feel that when you play and the 2 frames adds on to it.
I mean, if you’re putting money on this you already lost; numerous people can feel it and I mentioned it a long time ago.
Converter issue was mentioned. etokki converters with no lag. Maybe the people playing think there are problems because they are used to PS3 latency and miss it with the converter? LOLOLOLOL…I mean, you realize how silly you just made this sounded. You said people that complain about PS3 can’t really feel the lag, but people that use the converters that DON’T LAg can feel the difference and “think” that is actually lag? Maybe that is because PS3 has lag, these don’t, and timing is different?
My jab seriously dropped when you brought up the converters being an issue but you can’t feel anything on PS3, wow.
You’re just stretching here with this PS3 stuff, the system is highly problematic with fighters. Address the issues I mentioned earlier. Why would you hold this on PS3?
EVEN SOME OF THE BIGGEST EVO QUALIFIERS ARE USING 360.
THE ONLY REASON VEGAS EVO USES PS3 IS BECAUSE OF SPONSORSHIP.
Can’t really make it any clearer than that when nearly major tournament organizer and 90% of the players are for XBOX 360.
I called you names? I cant remember what I said, but whatever I said, hopefully it was funny!
I agree 100% with the fact that it has to do with Sponsorships. Why wouldn’t they use PS3’s especially when they are free?
I do have to say this though. While you are absolutely, 100% correct that xbox is a better system for fighting games… getting acclimated with the ps3 version does not take long at all… Last time I checked, PS3 or XBOX, guys in top8 @ EVO, Majors, or any tournament for that matter, were going to make it anyway regardless of what system they played on! And thats the damn truth! Yes, PS3 has it’s issues, but as you have said before, if you know the tournament is on PS3, then you knew the rules!
By the way,
if I do play, it’s on xbox now! I am not taking up for the PS3 at all… it’s just an argument that has no real validity in my opinion!
I agree that if you enter a tournament knowing it is PS3 you have to prepare for it, 100%. The argument that gdbell is trying to make is that you can’t “tell” and that’s completely incorrect. Not all of the time you see the top 8 come out that way…there are people that play much better from one system to the other in those tournaments but the top line of players knows to practice on that system of choice well beforehand.
A lot of the players in EVO have complained about “lag” on the TVs without putting 2 and 2 together that it is actually the PS3 causing these issues for SF4…HDTV + PS3 SF4 = a big wtf if you ask me…
