I saw a few weeks ago you made a thread in the Dudley forum about cleaning it up and doing whatever we needed help with.

Who would I talk to about necessarily working through the Dudley forum, cleaning up and perhaps re-doing some of the match up threads? I have a bit of free time in my office at work for an hour or so daily and I’d love to make use of it and clean up and re-organize the new things for AE.

Let me know who or what I can do to get this moving!

Please don’t troll me or this thread guys. If you don’t want me to help then just contact another mod and get them to help. If you troll too much I’ll lock the thread again and give warnings/infractions as I deem fit. I’m here to help. We’re on the same side guys.

Honestly, I think we need a lot of threads deleted. There is a lot of clutter and a lot of the stickies are older and could use newer threads. Of course I would wait for the opinions of some of our other regulars(ThirtyFour, Mellow etc.) before making any crazy changes. I think we need to just either archive/delete a lot of the older stuff. I’ll gladely sit down and rewrite the threads here in my office while I have down time at work or even at home in the evening.

How does this sound to everyone? Good idea? What threads should be deleted/archived?

Thread should be remade before old threads get deleted/locked/unstickied.

Only thread I can see stickied that should be replaced and locked is the matchup threads maybe. Someone going to remake, pretend they will maintain it forever and just leave 3-6 months later. Most matchups didn’t change much so I don’t even think it’s worth remaking and someone already made a topic for the Twins. Just remake the thread with the links to character match up threads since he isn’t around to update the first post with links.

I honestly believe the whole board should be deleted and just re-make Matchup, Combos / Mixups, General Discussion, Frame Data, and idk what else. I’ve been in training a lot so maybe I can redo the Matchup. Up to you guys on what you think.

Basically, just wipe out the Dudley forums completely and just make stickies that are important, not what isn’t needed. It’s AE, so let’s start fresh.

IMO the match up threads are really cluttered and filled with useless week1 kind of stuff, also the AE changes might affect some of them. They could really need some sort of collection of essentials on the first page.

A fresh Q&A thread with a proper FAQ would be great, especially since as far as I’ve understood SalPal doesn’t really hang around here any more. Proper FAQ would itself help to prevent useless threads and further clutter.

I’d imagine Mellow will update the Gentleman’s encyclopedia since he’s that active here, so that should be ok.

TLDR; one dedicated fresh match thread with compiled first page info, new fresh Q&A thread with a FAQ, other stickys are ok.

EDIT: just noticed Mellows anwer, complete wipe wouldn’t be that bad either I guess, but there would be some gems lost, I think it’s better to let the old threads to be there and just renew stickies.

Agreed. I can work on any threads you guys don’t want. I got free time every evening for this.

Okay mate, I undeleted it for you. I soft deleted a bunch of threads and I hesitated in doing so in fear that something like this might happen. Anyway, its back now. You can add to it.
