Every time I lose to a bad turtle Guile, or generally stupid shit. I rage. I don’t blame lag like Darksydephil, but when I lose because shit doesn’t work, it really gets to be.

  1. it takes forever to find a decent 3+ bar game
  2. 4-5 bar lobbies with AFK hosts
  3. 4-5 bar games in which the opponent is an absolute scrub
  4. lag free matches in which the opponent leaves/kicks after losing the first match
  5. lag
  6. when the match crashes and disconnects when a round is about to start

Why? The frame data says they have the same recovery, I’ve seen nothing which implies otherwise. The only difference is the speed they move across the screen, which is something frame data doesn’t, and mostly can’t, cover. Some data for fireball speeds can be found here, although it’s missing fireballs which don’t go full screen and hasn’t been verified by anyone except the poster.

This seems to be a growing trend among Sagat players. I win about 80% of my fights sakura vs Sagat but now and again I will lose 2-1 because I did some stupid stuff and I get a message like that. I usually respond with “Yeah that was a pretty close match.”

They don’t ever message back because they know they didn’t dominate.

this.

Blanka.

Also, dominating 95% of the match and then insta-loosing after 1 mistake, i. e. Zangief.

raging tonight, played xBISANZIO33x twice. first time he wins r1 i win r2, second time i win r1. as soon as i win a round the lagless game suddenly becomes a lagfest. hell for me as im trying to learn akuma who’s like wet paper already  suspicious as hell

It’s funny. I don’t really get mad when playing online.

I do get frustrated, and sometimes I just yell “Oh, that’s bullshit!”, but I rarely get angry.

However, when playing my brother (mostly we play online, but a couple of times a month we get together and play offline) that’s when I go berserk.

We are very competitive when it comes to gaming. It’s always been this way, ever since the NES days. And when it comes to fighting games…that’s when we really play our best to beat one another.

And every time we play, I feel as if it were the finals to Evo or something, because I get so tense and there’s nothing I want more than to beat him as we play. And he talks a lot of smack! He really knows how to push my buttons. (He has decades of experience).

The last time we played he beat me pretty bad. He plays Guile, and he is such a turtle! He is very, very, very patient and knows me very well. He’s overall a better player than me and he has excellent spacing. He makes very few mistakes; everything he does is safe.

And I got really, really mad! I unplugged my controller violently and stood up and yelled at him “you…you fucking turtle!”, slammed the door and left. After a while I felt terrible. After all, he played legit and beat me fair and square. My own damn fault for not being able to crack his shell.

I always apologize to him afterwards and admit he’s better than me, but I wish I were able to keep my cool while playing him.

haha.
you just took me way back.
i remember when my friend and i used to race to 1 million points on the snes.
we were so evenly matched, by the time one of us hit 1 million, one would be up on games while the other was up on rounds.
we would yell all sorts of things at one another.
“waiter” and “turtle” were my favorites.
its practically like yelling “why the fuck wont you jump into my dp you asshole!?”

getting sucked into the “vortex”

I can try to adapt on the fly, but sometimes my opponent’s mixup is too great

But since there are only like 3 or 4 people in America who play Ken with skill, this situation is rare enough to disregard entirely.

Okay, so I was fighting this Sagat with my Vega. He was very turtly, used to throw out maybe a tk or two and shoot fireballs. Very patient player. Now, I got him down to maybe… a sixth of his life bar (by mixing up shit and doing some crazy combos). And I was around three fourths of mine. A moment of tension. I walk forward and backwards, then suddenly he jumps in-
I push cr.mp to push him away as he recovers…
CH HP TIGERUPPERCUT, FADC, F.HK, ULTRA.
My mask flies off, I have a silver of life left, he kara knees in front of me and wakeup throws me. K.OOOO

The worst thing is, second round, he did it again. He turtled all the way, chipped me, then he empty jumped into hp TU into Ultra ftw.

:frowning:

I got beat pretty bad on two occasions online last night…

I was so discouraged that I am seriously thinking about quitting this game… I feel a little better now but I take loses bad.

mashers. that is all.

i just started learning on a stick i also play seth. it frustrates the shit out of me when i can’t get something as simple as a dive kick out. and when you make mistakes with glass jaw seth you pay for them heavy. i actually have a counter in my profile on how many times i’ve tried to break my stick. so far its 8. good thing the TE’s are sturdy as shit. thats the only good thing i have to say about it right now.

I get mad because if a laggy play happens…it’s usually my fault…

It sucks living in a place with just bad internet all round when you want to get truly better :frowning:

I’m also prone to outbursts when the lag helps out the spammers…that drives me to no end

Why would anyone get angry/frustrated at a game that’s as easy as ‘IV’ and in a game in which winning/losing 9 times out of 10 comes down to the match-up/lag or how much someone is willing to spam cheese?

(*on-line I mean)

I generally don’t get angry at any game other street fighter which is the odd part.

The number one thing that will just make me flip shit is getting hit by balrog’s headbutt. That damn, “He he heeh.” thing might as well be a taunt. I hate it…

i hate how EVERY ranked match i play has sooo much lag.
i also hate runaway players, dropped inputs, people who disconnect, shoryuken mashers during block strings/combos. soooo many to name :stuck_out_tongue:
thats why i just stick to playing locally now or in the arcades.
the only time i play street fighter iv on the console is to practice combos and timing.

i get frustrated when i pull the ultra and i’m thinking that its gona connect and iv taken the round, but then they pull their ultra like straight after and they win lol. thats happened to me a few times…
also when scissor kick doesn’t beat a low attack (hes doing a somersault where does the low kick connect surely hes flipped over it??)

people that keep coming into your lobby when they only got 1 bar you kick them out but they keep coming back in, that can be kinda annoying.

other than that though i got no complaints
