Television General Discussion

Snaaaake, if you think that is bad wait till you’ve been introduced to a Liverpudlian accent

I dont think I can handle this shit :wasted:

Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek attempt the accent

jimmy carr is allright. I understand whatever he’s saying.

house of cards - watched first episode but not sure if I want more. its like 24 without jack bauer and anything awesome. having a hard time caring about just random white house drama.

sure kevin spacey is good but who/what else… maybe I will try another episode tomorrow…

I dont have time for 3 seasons of…this.

REALLY having a hard time caring about all these random-ass nobodies. the plot is boring to begin with. there is nothing remotely interesting about the show. maybe it gets better but so far its “meh”.

GravitycoughAgents of Shieldcough

Not everybody is interested in political drama.

Try to watch a couple more episodes.

Binge watching the BattleStar Galactica remake…not half bad if a little bizarre at a times. Better when the plot is moving forward, some of the more philosophical/preachy sort of one-off episodes are mediocre but fairly solid.

justified not on again  ??

pretty much yeah

House of Cards S2 is too good, almost has the Breaking Bad effect AKA most other shows are painful to watch after you experience such greatness. Although House of Cards is at times very unrealistic the artistic lisence of suspension of disbelief is judiciously utilized to illict a greater emotional and cathartic impact on it’s audience…which is what suspension of disbelief was created for in the first place. More impressively is how well the show reinforces it’s “wheels within wheels” theme over and over again without ever once approaching the dimension of possibly condescending.

Rebooting Heroes

^^^Some things should stay dead

Agreed.

Wow, Teen Wolf isn’t playing with the horror and love interests this season. Hell even Stiles is getting some with all the crazy shit happening, well before you-know-what comes along…

I’m really liking this season of Being Human, it’s taken time but everything up to this point has the best balance of humor and dark drama/violence since season 1. The plot has been interesting and juicy, but I’m not sure how well it’s built up to a good/solid conclusion when the season finale finishes.

Bitten has potential and so far has a story arc that I actually want to see play-out. A nice bit of subtly with personal relationships mixed with some supernatural werewolf politics (blood, betrayal, brutal instincts).

banshee is so intense. easily my favorite show right now. i wanted to see emmett use the morning star or the spiked club thing though.

the premiere of the americans was pretty good but not great. it was one of my favorite shows from last year so i have high expectations for this season.

true detective is getting really good. i think there’s only 2 episodes left to wrap things up though which seems sorta weird. the pacing feels off since they built up ledou and now it’s like “oh that was just the midboss.”

yay to suits being back. more donna please.

Hannibal - S2 E1

Spoiler

That opening scene was quite something to watch.
Looking forward to the build-up to that scene during the course of the season.
I was like, “Is Morpheus vs Le Chiffre happening right now?”

Dinner table stuffs are still entertaining with the dialogue and the dishes presented.
The ‘imagery’ is still a sight to behold.

I really enjoyed how it shifted from pure brutality to a civil/elegant dinner discussion with the same characters and setting.

[details=Spoiler]Seeing Will in a calmer state of mind was interesting. Knowing that he’s been seeing and realizing things through Hannibal’s perspective means he has a sense of clarity that he lacked before. But seeing but him remember Hannibal stuffing Abigail’s ear down his throat was all kinds of startling.

I wonder if Jack is trying to kill two birds by having Hannibal help solve cases and thoroughly observe him at the same time? Maybe he’s steadily trying to get an idea of what makes him tick, and eventually figures-out through some later evidence that leads to that crazy confrontation.[/details]

BATES MOTEL–>Great time to get caught up! A&E is running a marathon right now; the typical “marathon leading up to season premiere time” situation, y’know…

*whoah…cute little piece of azz seemingly is interested in Norman on episode 2 here…nice. Haha, and she’s just one of 2, I see. Norman apparently could’ve been getting all kinds of play if he didn’t happen to be crazy.

Vera Farmiga = FIRE hotness. Prime milf/cougar material right there.
