What other d-pads? I checked play-asia and they didn’t have anything.
Guess they’re out of stock or something. There are packs with multiple, different pads and/or analog sticks and also hard plastic screens that come with their own D-Pads. This site has a couple (there are various others):

But frankly, GGXX proves that it’s all a matter of Capcom not being able to do some smart programming.
darkstalkers is actually solid i’m ordering one of those d pads for this game and the max, which i can’t wait to buy by the way!!!
You can get either the bigger analogues that are identical to the PS2 analogue to replace the little one or buy Zero 3 off ebay that comes with the extra d-pad attatchment which make it more like a saturn pad.

Capcom is probably going to eventually run out of those d-pads and they only stick on and make the PSP bulkier.
My dream fix is for Sony to fix the d-pad since, as we can see from the mods, it’s so easy to do. I would like to mod my PSP but I don’t want to void the warranty of a $200+ handheld.
There’s another D-pad case thingy that is a case over the psp and buttons. I wonder how well it works.

I’m cool with Guilty Gear, SNK fighters and 3D fighters, but I’m not interested in playing a SF game with 4 face buttons. Unless they make the control 4-button-friendly like CvS1 or MvC2…
It would be cool if there was a PSP mod that lets you replace the Dpad without making the handheld bulkier. I’m definitley willing to void a warranty and break open my PSP to switch out D-pads (other than the fact that I’m lazy)…

btw i always thought namco X capcom was a psp till i found out it was on ps2, they should bring out namco X capcom plus (multiplayer mode)
